Man killed by NJ Transit train near Bridgewater station
A man was struck and killed Wednesday afternoon by an NJ Transit train in Bridgewater.
The man was hit at 3:12 p.m., west of the Bridgewater station, NJ Transit spokeswoman Nancy Snyder said. His name was not released.
Raritan Valley Line train service has resumed and is operating with 60-minute delays in both directions between Raritan and Dunellen due to a trespasser fatality near Bridgewater.

The unidentified man was struck by the 1:47 p.m. train from Penn Station New York.
Raritan Valley train service between Raritan and Dunellen resumed shortly after 4 p.m., however, there were 60-minute delays in both directions.
Snyder said the incident was under investigation by the NJ Transit Police.
