Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry spoke with Will Smith after his shocking altercation with Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars on Sunday over a joke about Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

Smith slapped Rock after he made an uncomfortable joke about Pinkett Smith. "Jada, I love ya. G.I. Jane 2, can't wait to see it," Rock said during his bit, prompting Pinkett Smith to roll her eyes at the joke. (Pinkett Smith has been open about her struggles with alopecia, an autoimmune disorder which causes bald spots and hair loss.) Moments later, Smith walked onto the stage and Rock gave him an open-handed slap to his cheek. Smith then walked offstage.

Will Smith is taking the time to appreciate his close relationship with "mentor" Denzel Washington.

At the 28th Annual Screen Actor Guild Awards on Sunday, the actor, 53, took home the award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role for his part in King Richard.

Whoopi Goldberg is Academy Awards royalty, having hosted the telecast four times and winning an Oscar herself.

And so naturally, she had a few thoughts about Will Smith’s infamous Chris Rock slap at Sunday night’s Oscars ceremony at the Dolby Theatre.

Goldberg, 66, discussed the event on “The View” Monday with her co-hosts Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar and Ana Navarro.

“I think he overreacted,” Goldberg said, referring to Rock’s controversial joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald hairstyle.

The “Ghost” actress continued, “I would’ve been a little annoyed. I think he had one of those moments where it was just like, ‘G-D it. Just stop.’ And you’ve got all the pressure of hoping that you’re going to win and trying to keep your face.”

An ice shelf the size of New York City has collapsed in East Antarctica, according to scientists.

The collapse was captured by satellite images, which show the area had been shrinking over the last couple of years.

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died Friday in Colombia, had a heart that weighed double the average for men his age, according to a new report.

Forensic experts during an examination found Hawkins’ heart weighed “at least 600 grams,” double the average of 300 to 350 grams (three-quarters of a pound), the Daily Mail reported Sunday.
