A federal tax investigation into Hunter Biden is gaining momentum as prosecutors gather information from several of his associates about the sources of his foreign income, including from Ukraine, and examine President Biden’s son’s relationship with a company that handled some of his finances, according to people familiar with the matter.

Federal jury awards George Floyd protesters $14M for police excessive force
A jury for the US District Court for the District of Colorado Friday found that the Denver police used excessive force against protestors during the 2020 George Floyd protests and awarded a $14 million verdict to 12 protestors. This decision comes from a three-week trial that began on March 7.
This lawsuit was a consolidation of two separate suits. Loevy & Loevy filed one of the suits, while the ACLU of Colorado and Arnold & Porter filed the other. Once combined, the lawsuit consisted of 12 protesters.

Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton appears before federal grand jury investigating corruption
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton is preparing to testify before a federal grand jury looking into corruption on Capitol Hill.
Sexton, R-Crossville, arrived at the U.S. Courthouse in downtown Nashville shortly before 1 p.m. Monday, just a few minutes after director of legislative administration Connie Ridley. Both had been subpoenaed to appear.
It is believed that the grand jury is focused on a shadowy company that handled political and taxpayer-funded mailings for Republican lawmakers in 2020. Rep. Robin Smith, R-Hixson, recently resigned and pleaded guilty to federal wire fraud charges, admitting that she and former House Speaker Glen Casada received "kickbacks" in exchange for steering business to that company.

U.S. House to vote on end to federal cannabis ban this week
The U.S. House is poised for a second time to vote to end the federal ban on cannabis and help communities and individuals hardest hit by the war on drugs.
A vote on the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act, or MORE Act, will reach the House floor as early as Wednesday, according to the schedule released Friday. The House Judiciary Committee passed the bill last September.
