With CMEs, there are vulcanic events usually quite shortly after their release, coincidentally with atmospheric piezo like releases above which ever fault that moves.

The price, in US$, is indeed moving, but it's pricing in a devaluing US$ as in it takes more of them for the same weight of gold because the US$ is worth less today, compared to all other pricing mechanisms for gold, which have moved LESS.
