Wattsville, Virginia – Authorities were responding to a reported plane crash in Virginia Wednesday evening.
According to WVEC, citing a U.S. Coast Guard spokesperson, the Military aircraft went down off the Wildcat Marsh near Chincoteague, Virginia.
The aircraft is believed to be an Osprey military plane. The exact time of the crash wasn’t immediately known. It was also unclear how many people were on-board the aircraft.
A lifeboat and helicopter were deployed to assist with search efforts, WVEC reported.
