It was a busy day for Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL). First, he introduced the “Spook who cried wolf” resolution to strip security clearances from 51 intelligence officials who lied about Hunter’s Laptop, calling it Russian disinformation.

Next, Gaetz questioned the FBI’s Assistant Cyber Chief about the contents of the laptop, but the FBI’s Bryan A. Vorndran said he doesn’t know where Hunter’s laptop is. Vorndran said it was not in his job description to know about the laptop, nor can he identify who has the laptop or whether its contents reflect a point of national security vulnerability.

Add this to the list of lies our government continues to peddle.

Gaetz ended the exchange by offering up an external file with the laptop’s content, which he asked to enter into the congressional record. Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) at first refused, then later relented.

The FBI was given the actual laptop that Hunter abandoned at a repair shop three years ago.

Rep. Dan Bishop asked another good question: has the FBI has taken any new steps to prevent private contractors from intercepting data against political opponents–as the Clinton campaign did to Trump Tower, President Trump’s apartment, and the Trump White House?

Vorndran said he had no idea.
