I've read on essay from Velikovsky that made perfect sense, a psychoanalytic study on why Sigmund Freud wrote his great crackpot book "Moses and Monotheism" … and Velikovski's questioning of established historical chronologies was not prima facie non sensical … but then again, trying to explain Biblical miracles with planetary phenomena is far fetched compared to the simpler explanations, that is, the earth didn't stop revolving the Sun for couple of days, or that Moses didn't make the Red Sea to part, those accounts were legends/myths/folklore
