So the whole Whitmer trial is like a catch-22. If they convict without taking into account that the FBI coerced them then they set a precedent. They won't be able to use the excuse that someone else told them to do it.

If they don't convict them because of the FBI's involvement they prove the FBI were the criminals.

It's win win.
