Anon did a jump like that but it was on dirt, prolly a dried up creek bed. Everybody was doing it, some made it, some bit it but peer pressure so I went for it. Did not have a banana seat bike. I just got a bike the Christmas before and knew better than to even ask. The jump was easily as high as the Pastrana jump so he don't impress anon much. I made it with a POS Western Flyer.

Adult me wants to go back and revisit the scene, it was hella scary and a miracle I made it down one side and back up to a safe landing. Might be the riskiest thing I ever did as a kid.

Never told on myself for fear of permanent grounding.

I have deep regrets about the Honda 90 street-trail 90cc I had. Dad bought me out slowly, slowly then he laid it down on loose gravel and sold it. He wasn't a bit scared of his plane dropping into the drink or all else that could go wrong but 1 measly bit of road rash and he bailed. Without telling me so I could buy it back. That was a fun bike.

Same at our house. No TV during dinner. Soon there was a rec room in the basement with the TV, a Minnesota Fats Brunswick pool table and my beloved Pachinko machine & a bunch of Philippine bentwood furniture. Oh, and Dart Board- complete with tiny dart holes all the way around it on the wall. Ooops. Best place in the house, especially in August.
