Demi Moore celebrates ex-husband Bruce Willis’ 67th birthday: ‘Thankful for our blended family’

By Janelle Ash, Fox News

March 21, 2022 5:56am Updated

Demi Moore sent a special birthday message to her ex-husband, Bruce Willis.

On Saturday, the 59-year-old actress posted to her Instagram a picture with Willis. She captioned the image of the former couple, “Happy birthday, Bruce! Thankful for our blended family,” adding a white heart emoji.

The duo stood in a kitchen, both smiling for the camera as Moore held a cutting board full of true morels.

In the comment sections, fans praised Moore and Willis for how they’ve remained friends since their divorce. One fan wrote, “Yours was the model for my blended family! And it works! Everyone is happy.”

Another fan left a sweet message for the former couple and said, “Blended family goals! Adore you both. Blessings.”

Moore and Willis, who turned 67 on Saturday, were married from 1987 to 2000. They share three daughters together: Rumer, 33, Scout, 30, and Tallulah, 28.

Willis remarried in 2009 to Emma Hemming and has two young daughters: Mabel, 9, and Evelyn, 7.

In 2020, Moore, Willis and their daughters quarantined together during the coronavirus pandemic.

“There’s been a lot of challenges and a lot of tragedy with this pandemic, but I also think there’s been a lot of gifts and blessings,” Moore previously said during an interview with Naomi Campbell. “I personally feel like I was really grateful for things slowing down and the time that we had.”

“It worked out that Bruce came and spent time with us,” Moore recalled.

Moore and Willis were later joined by the actor’s wife, Emma Hemming.

“My daughters love their little sisters and for me, our family, regardless what the shape of it is, it’s important to keep together and for the little ones to feel comfortable with me, and to know me so they also know their sisters better,” Moore reflected. “It was really sweet and we did have some silly times for sure.”

"Blended Family (What You Do for Love)" is a song by American recording artist Alicia Keys, featuring vocals from rapperASAP Rocky. It was written by Keys, Rocky, John Bush, Brandon Aly, Tish Hyman, Dave Kuncio, John Houser, Kenneth Withrow and Edie Brickell for her sixth studio album Here (2016), while production was helmed by Keys and Mark Batson.[1][2][3][4][5] The song refers to the former marriage of Keys' husband Swizz Beats and musician Mashonda Tifrere. It was released on October 7, 2016 by RCA Records.

Background and release

The song is inspired by family and in particular the themes are those of adoption and extended families.[3][1] Keys was inspired by her family composed of her husband Swizz Beatz, their two sons Egypt Daoud Dean and Genesis Ali Dean, and Beatz's son Kasseem Dean Jr from his previous marriage with Mashonda Tifrere.[6] Keys, following the controversy that arose due to the alleged dating of the singer-songwriter with Beatz,[7] dedicated the song to Tifrere, writing:[8]

«The understanding, compassion and support we’ve found is a powerful testament to the healing that comes when we choose love. Especially for the kids … the most important part of our lives. Celebrating Mashonda for our commitment to each other with support and true growth»

alright.

This is really looking like comms

09/11White heart

This one might look clean, minimal and all that jazz. The white heart emoji shows support after a loved one passed away. But sending a white heart to someone won't work for you if you want to use it for the loss of a pet. Red hearts are just universally better for showing pet-related love.

Bob Saget left out of Oscars In Memoriam segment

Samantha Highfill

Mon, March 28, 2022, 12:17 AM·1 min read

This year, the Academy Awards tried something a little different for its In Memoriam segment. Not only did the segment feature first-person testimonials — with Tyler Perry talking about Sidney Poitier's impact on his life, Bill Murray applauding his Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman, and Jamie Lee Curtis paying tribute to Betty White — but the segment, in general, was a bit more… joyful than usual.

While the segment honored those Hollywood has lost in the last year, including William Hurt, Michael K. Williams, and Stephen Sondheim, among many others, a choir danced and sang songs like "Spirit in the Sky." (Needless to say, the internet had some thoughts.) But, as is often the case with In Memoriams, there were a couple of notable names missing. People on Twitter have pointed out that Moon Knight star Gaspard Ulliel, who died in January, was not included in the segment. Another omission? Bob Saget.

Bob Saget

Although Saget, who died in January, was best known for playing lovable father of three Danny Tanner on eight seasons of beloved sitcom Full House, he appeared in a number of films as an actor and notably directed the 1998 comedy Dirty Work with Norm Macdonald. He also won a Student Academy Award in 1978 for his documentary Through Adam's Eyes.
