Russian Troops Dead After Getting ‘Treated’ to Poisoned Meals, Ukraine Officials Say

In a show of hospitality, Ukrainian citizens in the besieged region of Kharkiv have reportedly been “treating” Russian troops local delicacies—laced with poison.

At least two troops from the 3rd Motor Rifle Division of the Russian Federation died immediately after eating stuffed buns served by the residents of Izium, a town about 80 miles southeast of Kharkiv, the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine wrote Saturday in an announcement posted to Facebook.

Another 28 Russians are being treated in intensive care from eating the contaminated treats. The condition of these poisoned invaders has yet to be confirmed.

According to the Intelligence Directorate, several hundred Russian soldiers have also suffered severe illnesses from drinking poisoned alcohol while occupying the region. Ukrainian officials said that the Russian military is “writing off these cases as so-called ‘non-combat losses.’”

Zelensky alleges Russian troops are leaving mines in dead bodies

President Volodymyr Zelensky alleged Friday that Russian troops were leaving mines behind, including in dead bodies, while retreating from the northern region of Ukraine.

Zelensky, speaking in his nightly video message, warned citizens returning to areas where Ukrainian forces have regained control to be "very careful" of further dangers including the possibility of renewed shelling.

"The occupiers are withdrawing forces in the north of our country. The withdrawal is slow but noticeable," Zelensky said.

"Firstly, the bombing may continue. Secondly, they are mining all this territory. Mining houses, equipment, even the bodies of killed people. Too many tripwire mines, too many other dangers."

Self-proclaimed 'M30 King of Fresno,' 17 others charged in alleged fentanyl trafficking ring

Horacio Torrecillas Urias Jr., the self-proclaimed "M30 King of Fresno," and the others were charged last month with trafficking fentanyl powder and pills, cocaine and methamphetamine, according to the U.S. attorney's office for the Eastern District of California.

The investigation into the ring began after a series of overdoses last fall involving counterfeit oxycodone tablets, commonly labeled "M30," which were found to contain fentanyl.

"Similar to authentic oxycodone M30 tablets, they are small, round, and light blue or green in color with 'M' stamped on one side and ‘30’ on the other," the U.S. attorney's office said.

According to the criminal complaint, Torrecillas obtained tens of thousands of counterfeit M30 pills and large quantities of other drugs from sources in Mexico, then distributed them along with his co-defendants to dealers in California and elsewhere.

Local, state and federal agencies including the Fresno Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Department of Homeland Security participated in the investigation.

"During the investigation, federal, state, and local law enforcement agents conducted traffic stops, intercepted packages, and executed residential search warrants that resulted in the recovery of over 55,000 M30 fentanyl pills, 6 pounds of fentanyl powder, 10 pounds of methamphetamine, a pound of cocaine, 25 firearms, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition," the U.S. attorney's office said.
