Fixed a leak in my shower diverter, now water comes up through the shower when the tub is filling. Instead of the copper fittings I used shark bite fittings. The flow is probably restricted to the divertor because the sharkbite elbow isn't as big, therefore>>16000292

Put in a check valve hoping it would increase the back pressure so it would come up through the shower, but nope, it did.
Our water pressure is 105 and we have hella flow. Should I put a valve on the cold side to restrict the flow into the moen mixmatic valve? perhaps both sides hot and cold?
My dad was a carpenter, not a plumber. Advice needed and appreciated (breadshitting aside).
