07, anon. Too many denominations are "controlled" by their Big $$$ overlords and fueled by love of $$$.
Folks knew personally were from small, intimate Churches who didn't need fancy chairs & shit to call "blessings from God". They were humble and not rich.
Nothing worse than a preacher declaring that new chairs were "blessing from God" when WE had put the $$$ up for them. (Never went back to that one despite the Preacher & his fam being fun, great folks to hang out with - until that declaration.)
HATED when they'd say "God needs your 'genero$ity'" when God does not want or need money. Talk about insult.
Despise all Organized $$$ Religion, which gives everything a bad rep. Personal experience made anon love those who preach in Evangelical & Baptist "style", though, because they happened to be beautiful folks outside of their Churches, as well.
Apologies for any confusion. Genuine Christians get "clumped" with the frauds$$ and end up leaving the $$$-lover fraud outfits.
Personally believe God is everywhere, particularly within, but it's nice to have anyone in life with something in common… Don't have that any more in current location, It''s Commie here, where nobody knows anyone's name. Very weird place. Glad to have lived in the South (and Midwest for shorter period of time) to see firsthand that it's not the same everywhere.
