Durbin just said the committee reviewed 70,000 pages of materials about Jackson that were produced form the Obama library.
Grassley: Judge Jackson said she can't get records for her old cases because she is no longer a district court judge. That seems to be very convenient…the refusal tells us the documents probably won't help the nominee.
Grassley: As Judge Jackson said in her written response, she does not "hold a position on whether individuals possess natural rights." I take issue with this, as natural rights are basic to our Constitutional system, and principals of limited government.
Grassley's overview of Jackson easily demonstrates that she is not just an activist judge, but is so extreme that she should not be on the bench of any court.
Leahy: During the confirmation proceedings, she [Jackson] put on a master class about what it means to be an independent, fair-minded justice.

Mr. Biden [arriving in DC]: We have to continue to provide Ukraine with the weapons they need to continue to fight, and we have to gather all the details so we can have a war crimes trial. This guy [Putin] is brutal….he should be held accountable.
That seemed odd- Biden just landed in the helicopter, then got into a vehicle that LiveNOW said is heading to the White House. President Trump used to land on the White House lawn and walk right into the building.
Graham: If we get back the senate, and we're in charge of this body…she [Jackson] would not have been before this committee.
Cornyn: The Supreme Court has developed various legal doctrines…to create new rights out of whole cloth. Rights that are neither in the text, nor what the Framers ever envisioned that these rights existed, or would be created by nine unelected judges at the time of the founding.
Lee: We are told to look at [Jackson's] record, and yet we still don't have significant portions of her record…those dealing with her sentencing imposed on child pornography cases.
Klobuchar seems especially rattled today.
Cruz: If [Jackson] is confirmed, the odds are over 100% she will vote to give away U.S. sovereignty to international tribunals and international bodies.
Cruz; All crimes, murder, rapes…[Jackson] sentences one third lower than the national average.
Cruz: An individual who raped his 13-year old niece…Judge Jackson sentenced him to half what the prosecutors wanted…went to work at a daycare, while he was released early, because of Judge Jackson's sentence, he committed another sexual assault, a rape…again [Jackson] sentenced him to half of what prosecutors sought. This is a pattern.
Cotton: Judge Jackson remains more of a defense attorney for criminals from the bench, than a judge.
Cotton: In 2017, Judge Jackson apologized to a Fentanyl kingpin, because she couldn't find a way to give him less than the minimum mandatory sentence imposed by congress. A couple years later, she found a way to twist the law, to re-sentence him below the mandatory minimum sentence, by making the First Step Act retroactive, even though congress had explicitly chosen not to make it retroactive.
