I have a friend very high up in the EU. Found out today he is retiring. This is big. I have been worried about him for a while now, because the ppl are getting ripe to throw off the EU. This particular person is a good person. Has had a long and illustrious career and knows when to get out. I have no idea if he is even aware of ppl's feelings and attitudes about the EU. But at least he will probably not be shot or torched. He is moving far away from the epicenter.

If the Italian victory is real, it adds to the sense that the EU will soon be no more.
