anon remembers a vid on YT (long ago scrubbed) of a covert recording made at a pentagon briefing, which dealt with using CRISPR to modify brain function in such a way as to control behaviors. PET scanning was used to identify regions of brain activity while subjects were engaged by audio/visual stimuli. the structures thus identified were then correlated to regions of the genome, and finally, CRISPR was used to introduce a systemic modification to the genome to alter the function of those specific brain structures. the goal that was discussed in the briefing was to make people less susceptible to religious dogma/indoctrination and thereby reduce the number of potential suicide bombers. if that kind of behavior modification is possible with CRISPR, then ANYTHING is possible. IIRC, the briefing was in 2007 or thereabouts.
