Over the weekend I took my wife and two teenage girls to an outdoor event at a local mall, where the girls were participating in a junior modeling event. Here in Philippines we are still under 'Level 1 Covid' measures, which are the weakest, but includes masking in public places.
Naturally I don't wear a fucking mask. Neither does my wife when she's with me. There was a crowd of about 300 people, almost all of them masked except for us. Naturally the 100 or so girls participating didn't need to wear the mask. Nor did the bicyclists riding by, or the people eating at outdoor kiosks. I stood about 3 feet behind a security guard, who saw me and didn't say shit. He was holding a '6 foot distancing sign', even while being pressed on all sides by the crowd.
Looked around and saw a few other alpha males boldly standing there with no mask. I couple of older women too, basically the people who DGAF what anyone thinks. It was even more absurd by the 'masks' that most people wore were really just color coordinated cloth devices. Many just hanging there below the chin.
We were there for about 90 minutes. No one said shit to us. Must have walked past at least 6 or 8 security people at various times. We let the girls stay for the rest of the event after we left. Later they told us they didn't wear the masks either when they went to McDonalds afterward, and no one said shit.
For those still dealing with the craziness like we are, it literally is a case of just daring them to say something. 'They' are tired of it too. Local politicians saying we can't stop the measures until we get another 2% vaccinated, putting the region at 80% by their calculations. What a bunch of fucking sheep.
