The problem is that the CA primaries ignore party affiliation. The final ballot could end up being two Democrats and often does.
Not necessarily. That is how the law works in CA. It was actually put up for the vote. Of course, now we must ask if that particular vote was tampered with, considering how the last election cycle went.
