As mentioned in a previous bread, BOOKS.

I recommend:

The encyclopedia of country living - Carla Emery

*Midwest Medicinal Plants- Lisa Rose (local to me, find a similar one local to you)

*Medicinal Herbs - Rosemary Gladstar

Chickens in five minutes a day - Murray McMurray Hatcheries

Any Ball canning book

The two with a star are the result of 2 months of research, checking books out free (often sent from other libraries to mine) and narrowing down my two favorites. Also look for conflicting info, especially with herbal books. Abebooks is a good source for used books, once you decide. For gardening books, use your grow zone. For herb books, also stick local so you can forage what's in your area. So much of this type of info was passed down for years, but not much anymore. You are the key.

Anytime you come across good info, write it down in a notepad, or print it. Look for pdf's of "Badass Preppers Handbook" 169 pages, "Grow your own groceries" by Linda Gray 216 pages, and "Where there is no doctor" - link here: https://www.shtfblog.com/where-there-is-no-doctor-book-free-pdf-download/

Keep all this info together, read, try things. While I won't go into prepping in this post, the major point is to stay calm, and by already having the knowledge/books/skills, you will be calm(er!) to care for yourself and your family. I've been posting stuff like this at least for the past year, stressing to you all to learn, or at the very least, read about a new skill every day. Know 2 or 3 ways of doing things. Start this today if you haven't already. It doesn't take much time at all.

And lastly, have faith :)
