Macron was likely referring to the Polish official’s Law and Justice Party’s open criticism of “LGBT ideology,” which has seen Poland condemned and stripped of funding by the EU.

While the EU has worked to present a united front against Moscow, Morawiecki has criticized Macron for keeping a dialogue open with Russian President Vladimr Putin amid Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, and has openly endorsed his right-wing rival, Marine Le Pen.

New Jersey to require second-graders to learn about gender identity and climate change: 'It's abuse, plain and simple'

Second-grade students in New Jersey public schools will receive lessons in gender identity and climate change beginning this fall.

In June 2020, New Jersey's Board of Education approved student learning standards for "Comprehensive Health and Physical Education" with an 8-4 vote. The curriculum is set to go into effect by September of this year.

The upcoming standards instruct teachers to "describe gender-role stereotypes and their potential impact on self and others" and "differentiate between sexual orientation and gender identity."

"Analyze the influences of peers, family, media, social norms and culture on the expression of gender, sexual orientation, and identity," the public school guidance states. "Advocate for school and community policies and programs that promote dignity and respect for people of all genders, gender expressions, gender identities, and sexual orientations."

"Analyze current social issues affecting perceptions of sexuality, culture, ethnicity, disability status and make recommendations to address those issues," the teachers are advised.

The new standards also teach children about abortion.

A description of what students should learn by the eighth grade states: "Describe pregnancy testing, the signs of pregnancy, and pregnancy options, including parenting, abortion, and adoption."

By the end of the second grade, the standards state that children are expected to "list medically accurate names for body parts, including the genitals." Children will also be taught about reproduction.

Second-graders are to be taught "the range of ways people express their gender and how gender-role stereotypes may limit behavior."

Second-grade teachers will also instruct children on "how climate change affects the health of individuals, plants and animals."

In the town of Westfield, parents voiced their concerns about possible sexual lesson plans for young children during a board of education meeting on Feb. 22. New Jersey state Sen. Holly Schepisi (R-39) was sent the potential lesson plans that were deemed controversial by concerned parents. Schepisi shared the lesson plans online.

One lesson plan for children in the first grade is titled "Pink, Blue and Purple."

The guidance expects first-graders to "define gender, gender identity and gender role stereotypes." Children are also instructed to be able to "name at least two things they’ve been taught about gender role stereotypes, and how those things may limit people of all genders."

One prospective course for first-graders instructs teachers to write the words "gender" and "gender identity" on the chalkboard, then tell students that a friend recently had a baby and they want to send a congratulatory card. The teacher is told to ask children if a pink card or blue card should be sent depending on the gender of the baby, then ask why they picked the colors.

White House threatens states for protecting children from gender surgeries, puberty blockers

The White House is threatening to hold states "accountable" for passing laws that protect children from irreversible procedures used to transition genders.

What is the background?

On Thursday, Alabama lawmakers passed SB 184, which critics claim outlaws "gender-affirming" care for "transgender kids." In reality, the bill punishes physicians who prescribe puberty-blocking drugs or perform gender-transition surgery on children.

Lawmakers also approved HB 322, which would prohibit self-identifying trans students from using bathrooms that correspond to their gender identities. The bill also prohibits classroom instruction on "sexual orientation or gender identity" for students in grades K-5. The bill is being falsely tarnished as a "Don't Say Gay" bill, despite not preventing use of the word "gay."

What is the WH saying?

At the beginning of Thursday's press briefing, White House press secretary Jen Psaki accused Republicans of "engaging in a disturbing, cynical trend of attacking vulnerable transgender kids for purely partisan, political reasons."

Psaki specifically targeted Alabama and Texas.

"Instead of focusing on critical kitchen-table issues like the economy, COVID, or addressing the country’s mental health crisis, Republican lawmakers are currently debating legislation that … would target trans youth with tactics that threatens to put pediatricians in prison if they provide medically necessary, lifesaving healthcare for the kids they serve," Psaki said.

"Just like the extreme government overreach we’ve seen in Texas, where politicians have sent state officials into the homes of loving parents to investigate them for abuse — just to harass and intimidate the LGBTQI+ community — today’s vote in Alabama will only serve to harm kids," she added.

Psaki said the Justice Department has put lawmakers "on notice" for debating such "discriminatory bills," which she claimed may "violate the Constitution and federal law." Psaki did not clarify which federal laws or constitutional provisions the laws allegedly violate.

Obama Calls for a Series of Internet Regulations to Counter ‘Disinformation’

During a discussion with the Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg, former President Barack Obama called for increased internet censorship to deal with threats posed by “disinformation.” Among the proposed changes was a crackdown on internet anonymity.

“I do think that there is a demand for crazy on the internet that we have to grapple with,” Obama said. He later referenced a “systematic effort to either promote false information, to suppress true information, for the purpose of political gain, financial gain, enhancing power, suppressing others, targeting those you don’t like.”

In order to deal with this, Obama proposed an increase of government regulations and an active role from big tech companies to combat the supposed threat. “I think it is reasonable for us as a society to have a debate and then to put in place a combination of regulatory measures and industry norms that leave intact the opportunity for these platforms to make money, but say to them that there’s certain practices you engage in that we don’t think are good for our society,” Obama said of social media companies.

On the topic of anonymity, the former President called for increased regulation. “In some circumstances, it’s important to preserve anonymity so that there’s space in repressive societies to discuss issues,” Obama said. “But as we’ve all learned, it’s a lot harder to be rude, obnoxious, cruel, or lie when somebody knows you’re lying and knows who you are. And I think that there may be modifications there that can be made.”

Obama went on to argue against Section 230 reform. “I don’t know that entirely eliminating Section 230 protections from liability is necessary,” the former president said.

“Roughly 40 percent of the country appears convinced that the current president was elected fraudulently and that the election was rigged” Obama claimed. He also referenced COVID-19 skepticism as another example of the dangers of “disinformation.”

Pennsylvania Must Release Records Pertaining to a ‘Glitch’ That Allowed Non-Citizens on Voter Rolls

A U.S. District Court ruled on a lawsuit pertaining to the matter in late March

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania must release its records pertaining to a “glitch” within its Department of Transportation that allowed non-citizens to register to vote in the state for decades. In 2017, authorities discovered an “error” in the computer system of Pennsylvania’s department of transportation “non-United States citizens applying for or renewing a driver’s license to register to vote in the Commonwealth.”

A U.S. district court made a ruling on the matter late last month. Judge Christopher Conner, who sits on the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, ruled that under the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) is entitled access to documents detailing the prevalence of the issue and actions taken by the commonwealth to address the errors in the state’s voting files.

“The expansive obligation under NVRA to disclose voting registration records gives rise to legitimate privacy concerns. Nonetheless, we agree with the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals’ observation that the balance between privacy and transparency must be struck by the legislature, not the courts,” Conner wrote. “Congress struck such a balance when it enacted NVRA, deciding transparency in how states determine voter eligibility—the vital bedrock of our electoral system—is generally paramount.”

As a result of the glitch, Pennsylvania launched a series of investigations in order to gauge its effect. The review included a “noncitizen matching analysis” conducted by an outside expert and sought to figure out how the “error” came about.

The state government had previously released a list of “1,160 purported noncitizens who requested to be removed from the voter registration lists”, according to The Federalist. However, the list was redacted and did not include the voting history of registrants. As a result of the new ruling on the glitch, Pennsylvania will now be required to provide this information to PILF.

Among the records sought by PILF include all documents related to “registrants who the Commonwealth identified as potentially not satisfying the citizenship requirements for registration since January 1, 2006,” and “noncitizens who requested removal from voter registration lists since January 1, 2006.”

A previous lawsuit from the group that sought similar documents was filed in 2019. This lawsuit, however, was struck down by the same district court. On that ruling, Conner argued that while “PILF falls within NVRA’s ‘zone of interests’ and had standing,” the organization “failed to comply with the statute’s notice requirements.”

Following the court’s March 31 ruling, PILF President J. Christian Adams praised the ruling in a statement. “Americans have a right to documents exposing government malfeasance and non-citizens being registered and even voting,” Adams said. “Pennsylvania spent four years fighting transparency and trying to hide their mistakes. It is sad that transparency in Pennsylvania elections had to be enforced by a court.”

Founded in 2004, the virtual world and social networking site ‘IMVU’ allows players to create a personalized avatar and interact with others users via public and private chat rooms.

The platform – described as a “metaverse” style concept– has repeatedly boasted of its “most vibrant and young” user base despite also allowing adult content and communities for fandoms including “furries.”

The investment sticks out among the rest of the portfolio of Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners (RSTP) – a subsidiary of the Hunter Biden and Christopher Heinz-founded Rosemont Capital – which includes Metabiota, a pandemic tracking and response firm with ties to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and Ukrainian biological laboratories.

RSTP counted both Biden and Heinz as managing directors. Heinz is the stepson of former U.S. Secretary of State and current Climate czar John Kerry.

The unearthed investment comes amidst links between Democratic part officials and activists and pedophilia continued to be exposed, and as the corporate media demands conservatives stop using the term “groomer” to describe child sex and gender obsessives.

Federal Jury Convicts University of Kansas Professor for Hiding China Ties

A federal jury on Thursday found a former University of Kansas professor guilty of hiding his employment with a Chinese state-run university while conducting research funded by the U.S. government.

Feng “Franklin” Tao, 50, was convicted of three counts of wire fraud and one count of false statements out of the eight counts brought against him, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) said in a statement.

The court did not set a sentencing date.

“While we are deeply disappointed with the jury’s verdict, we believe it was clearly against the weight of the evidence,” Tao’s lawyer, Peter Zeidenberg, said in a statement carried by Kansas City-based KMBC News.

“Given that the victim agencies all said they were fully satisfied with the work Dr. Tao did on their grants, we do not believe the conviction can possibly stand, as they received the benefit of their bargain,” Zeidenberg added.

According to the indictment, Tao accepted a full-time “Changjiang scholar distinguished professor” position at Fuzhou University in 2018 without informing the University of Kansas, where he was already employed.

Fuzhou University was established in 1958 by the provincial government, China’s Ministry of Education, and the State Administration for Science, Technology, and Industry for National Defense, a ministry under China’s State Council.

“Tao didn’t seek permission from [the university] before entering the agreement with Fuzhou University, didn’t notify [the university] about the employment, and lied to conceal the employment,” it stated.

Tao also failed to disclose the agreement when filling out his annual reports with the University of Kansas, which requires him to disclose any outside employment that did or could impact duties as a conflict of interest.

The indictment states that Tao lied to the university administrators in December 2018 by claiming to be in Europe when he moved to China to work full-time at Fuzhou University.

While he was employed by the Chinese university, Tao worked on research under six different programs, two under contracts with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and four under contracts with the National Science Foundation (NSF) as a faculty member of the University of Kansas.

“Tao caused [the University of Kansas] to submit to DOE and NSF hundreds of thousands of dollars in reimbursement requests for expenditures associated with the grants,” DOJ said, adding that Tao was aware of the federal government’s and the university’s policies.

Not disclosing his position in China allowed Tao to continue his employment at the University of Kansas, whereby he “fraudulently received” more than $37,000 in the salary paid for by the DOE and NSF, according to the indictment.

According to DOJ’s statement, Tao faces up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000 for the wire fraud charge, and up to 10 years and a fine of up to $250,000 on each of the program fraud counts.

US Defense secretary says US is giving intel to Ukraine for operations in Donbas

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said publicly for the first time that the US is providing intelligence to Ukrainian forces to conduct operations in the Donbas region.

Testifying before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Austin was asked whether the US was providing intelligence to help Ukraine carry out attacks against Russian forces in the occupied Donbas region or occupied Crimea.

“We are providing them a … intelligence to conduct such operations … in the Donbas. That’s correct,” Austin said in response to the question from Sen. Tom Cotton. Austin did not mention Crimea in his response. He also stated the US is not discouraging Ukraine from launching attacks against Russian forces in these areas.

Why this matters: It is the first time a US official has publicly acknowledged the US role in Ukraine’s operations in the contested region as the fighting shifts away from the capital of Kyiv and towards southeast Ukraine.

“We continue to provide useful information and intelligence to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in their fight,” a senior defense official told CNN Thursday after Austin’s remarks. “As that fight migrates more to the Donbas region, we will adjust our information content and flow as required.”

Austin then said at the hearing that the Pentagon would send “updated guidance” today, but he does not explicitly say what the guidance would entail.

Cotton asked if the current guidance is not to provide such intelligence to Ukraine.

“Certainly, the current guidance was not clear in that regard, so we’ll make sure it’s clear,” answered Austin.

Earlier this month, the White House acknowledged that the US has sent “a significant amount of detailed, timely intelligence” to Ukraine regarding Russia’s plans and movements.

Judge bars US military from discharging HIV-positive troops, overturns ban on officers with HIV

A federal judge has prohibited the U.S. military from discharging troops who are HIV-positive in a pair of rulings issued on Wednesday. Service members who contract HIV but are asymptomatic must also be allowed to become officers, the court ruled.

Scott Schoettes, who represented plaintiffs in the cases and “lives openly with HIV,” said Virginia U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema ruled that the “Pentagon’s policies regarding service members with HIV are not only outdated, but unlawful,” Bloomberg reported.

Schoettes said the decisions are some of “the strongest judicial rulings in over two decades for people living with HIV.”

Brinkema’s rulings are being kept under seal while those involved agree on a redacted version, the court said.

In one of the cases, National Guard sergeant Nick Harrison, 43, argued the Defense Department’s HIV policy went against the equal protection clause in the Constitution. Harrison served multiple tours in Afghanistan and Kuwait prior to testing positive for the virus.

“It’s profoundly emotional to know that all service members with HIV will now be able to serve and defend our country without discrimination,” Harrison said in a statement. “I’m incredibly pleased with the court’s decision, and it’s very reassuring to hear the court recognize that these policies are irrational and based on outdated stereotypes and stigma.”

The second case involved two United States Air Force airmen who were released from the military due to their HIV-positive status. The two men took part in the lawsuit under pseudonyms: Richard Roe and Victor Voe. Both said they were told that those with HIV cannot deploy, and because deployment is a necessary aspect of their jobs, they had to be discharged.

The plaintiffs in both cases argued that the Pentagon’s rule was outdated because medical advances and treatment have made HIV a manageable disease.

“These medical advances should have resulted in an overhaul of military policies related to people living with HIV,” Harrison argued, according to Military.com.

“Instead, the Department of Defense and the Army maintained the bar to enlistment and appointment of people living with HIV, as well as the restrictions on deployment, when they revisited these policies in recent years,” the document continued.

Around 2,000 HIV-positive individuals are currently serving in the United States military, court records from the case showed, according to Bloomberg. Records from the Department of Defense note that between 2011 and 2016, 388 Navy sailors and 181 Air Force airmen were diagnosed with HIV.

Blinken reaffirms US commitment to send more weapons to Ukraine

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken says Washington will not let anything stand in the way of sending Ukraine more of the weapons it needs in its fight against Russia.

Speaking to reporters on April 7 at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Blinken said the United States is looking at what new weapons it can send to Ukraine. He said there’s a greater determination than ever to stand with Ukraine.

Blinken also said Russia must decide if it wants to engage in meaningful diplomacy with Ukraine.

Blinken said the killings of civilians in the town of Bucha are not a major factor in peace talks but said it is likely that Russian forces are carrying out more “atrocities” in parts of Ukraine.

“For every Bucha, there are many more towns Russia has occupied and more towns that it is still occupying, places where we must assume Russian soldiers are committing more atrocities right now,” Blinken said.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba earlier on April 7 pressed NATO for more weapons amid expectations that Russia is repositioning its forces before launching a major offensive in southeastern Ukraine.

The best way to help Ukraine is to provide the country with everything it needs to put Russian President Vladimir Putin in his place and defeat the Russian Army, Kuleba said.

Kuleba said he expects his country will be supplied by NATO with all of the weapons it needs to defend itself, but he said the outstanding question is when the arms would arrive.

“The discussion is not about the list of weapons. The discussion is about the timeline,” he said, adding that the more weapons Ukraine gets and the sooner they arrive, the more human lives will be saved.

Census Bureau will Spend $10 Mil to Study How to Best Add Gender Identity Questions on Surveys

In a fierce governmentwide effort to provide special accommodations to less than one percent of the American population, key federal agencies are implementing significant—and costly—measures to support residents who identify as transgender. This includes the U.S. Census Bureau spending $10 million to research how to best add questions about sexual orientation and gender identity on surveys. The Biden administration calls it “critical research” in a recent announcement issued by the White House on Transgender Day of Visibility. It is essential to invest in the research because the data collected by the Census Bureau will help the federal government “better serve the LGBTQI+ community by providing valuable information on their jobs, educational attainment, home ownership, and more,” the White House statement reads.

The administration took the opportunity on Transgender Day of Visibility to also reveal additional measures that other federal agencies will implement to accommodate transgender people, those whose gender identity differs from the sex assigned at birth. For instance, the State Department will allow all American citizens to select an X as their gender marker on U.S. passport applications. This will deliver on the president’s commitment to expand access to accurate identification documents for transgender and non-binary Americans, according to the announcement. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is strong-arming air carriers to “promote the use and acceptance of the X gender marker to ensure more efficient and accurate passenger processing.” The DHS agency created after 9/11 to protect the nation’s transportation system, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), will update its Standard Operating Procedures to remove gender considerations when validating a traveler’s identification at airport security checkpoints. TSA PreCheck and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler Programs will also get updated to include X gender markers to “enhance access for transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming travelers.”

The Social Security Administration is eliminating a rule requiring transgender people to provide legal or medical documentation of their identity on official records. “This will significantly improve transgender individuals’ experience in accessing their retirement benefits, obtaining health care, and applying for jobs,” the Biden administration claims. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency that enforces the nation’s workplace discrimination laws, will promote greater equity and inclusion for members of the transgender community by providing the option to select an X gender marker during the initial intake process of filing a discrimination charge. The Department of Education will update federal student aid forms to include gender identity when applying for federal financial aid, which the administration asserts will inform the agency about barriers “transgender and non-binary students face in the financial aid process.”

Chinese Foreign Ministry On Situation In Taiwan

The situation around Taiwan is heating up, but the Chinese side is acting coolly. The Chinese Foreign Ministry, represented by Speaker Zhao Lijian, is cold-blooded, clear, and unwavering.

At a regular briefing on April 7, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said that the U.S. side, in particular House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, should cancel plans to visit Taiwan, but if the American side refuses, the Chinese side will take drastic measures.

Zhao Lijian stressed that China opposes official contacts between the U.S. and Taiwan and that Congress should keep in mind the principle of “one China”. Pelosi’s visit would be perceived as a violation of the Sino-US communiqué and a violation of China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Zhao Lijian went on to say that the U.S. and Taiwan colluded and compared the Ukrainian issue to that of Taiwan. The speaker stressed that such comparisons are fraught with consequences.

Zhao Lijian went on to answer reporters’ questions about what would happen if China invaded the island, whether China would be sanctioned like Russia, and whether China was going to learn lessons from the Ukrainian crisis.

The spokesman replied, “There is only one China in the world, the Taiwan issue, a problem left unfinished after the civil war. Determination and will to defend sovereignty are unwavering, and any measures will be taken against foreign forces that support separatism.”

Zhao Lijian then noted that the tensions in the Taiwan Strait are related to the Taiwanese administration’s desire to gain U.S. support, and the U.S. is using Taiwan to contain China.

The Russian National Guard has captured at least eight Soviet-made 9K38 Igla MANPADs man-portable air-defense system (MANPADs) from Ukrainian forces.

The MANPADs were reportedly captured along with other weapons, including a British-made NLAW anti-tank missile, in the village of Pologi in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. On April 7, Russian sources shared several photos of the captured weapons.

The Igla’s 9M313 missile, which is guided by infrared homing, has a maximum range of five kilometers. The missile is armed with a 1.17-kilogram blast fragmentation warhead.

On March 11, a batch of Igla MANPADs, which were newly-delivered to Ukraine, was captured by the Russian military. Back then, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that it is working to determine which Eastern European state supplied Ukrainian forces with the systems.

The system is still in service with a number of Eastern European states which are now members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), including Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovenia and Slovakia.

NATO states acknowledged supplying Ukraine with thousands of Soviet-made 9K32 Strela-2 and 9K32M Strela-2M as well as US-made FIM-92 Stinger MANPADs. However, none of these states have publicly acknowledged sending Igla MANPADs to Ukrainian forces.

Russia warned against sending MANPADs to Ukraine, as this will create a long-term threat to civilian aviation in Europe and beyond. Despite this serious threat, NATO states continue to supply Ukrainian forces with these systems.

Soros-backed DA prosecuting parent who accused another of 'grooming behavior'

Criminal summons cites 1950 statute that protects a "female's character for virtue and chastity" but was revised with gender-neutral language in 2020.

Heated debates over admissions and race in an elite Virginia public school have spilled over into a criminal case against a parent by a prosecutor elected with help from a left-wing megadonor.

Fairfax County Commonwealth's Attorney Steve Descano is prosecuting Harry Jackson, former president of the Thomas Jefferson High School (TJHS) Parent Teacher Student Association and alleged Republican activist, for his provocative description of parent Jorge Torrico's interaction with a student.

Descano received $392,000 from financier George Soros's Justice and Public Safety PAC in 2019, The Washington Post reported. He took office in 2020 and is now the target of two recall attempts, one by the county Republican committee, according to Ballotpedia.

The basis for Descano's four criminal summons to Jackson is a 1950 Virginia statute that prohibits false statements about a "female's character for virtue and chastity." A 2020 overhaul removed gender-specific terms across state law, making the inherently gendered statute "unconstitutionally ambiguous," according to Jackson's motion to dismiss.

"Can a person who is not a female be of chaste character under the law?" the motion says. "Can a male who feels insulted by another male pursue a criminal prosecution under this statute?"

The Virginia Supreme Court limited a more relevant statute on breach of the peace to "personal, face-to-face, abusive and insulting language likely to provoke a violent reaction and retaliation," a ruling which also limits the application of the chastity statute, the motion says. A judge is scheduled to hear arguments April 8.

Jackson's lawyer Marina Medvin is associated with RightDefense.org, a nonprofit founded this year to fund legal defense for conservatives charged with criminal offenses in Virginia and D.C., with an emphasis on protecting constitutional rights.

The organization's only listed case is for Jackson, who is "accused of voicing concerns about an adult who sought to spend time alone with minors at a local school," according to the group's website. Medvin has also represented Jan. 6 Capitol riot defendants.

Jackson and Torrico are leaders in dueling school activist groups. Jackson's Coalition for TJ filed a lawsuit against the school's revamped admissions focused on "racial diversity," which they claim is intended to reduce Asian-American admissions.

Explosive Pennsylvania Testimony Explains How Leftist Money Infiltrated Election Offices In 2020

The Democrat governor’s office in Pennsylvania colluded with left-wing activists to secure millions of dollars in private money to run get-out-the-vote efforts in blue counties in the swing state in 2020, new, explosive testimony revealed. The Pennsylvania legislature heard this testimony, backed up by email evidence, on Tuesday during the first public hearing on two new bills seeking to block private grants.

Tuesday’s public hearing began with statements by the respective primary sponsors of the bills that seek to ban dark money from elections, with Sen. Lisa Baker speaking in support of Senate Bill 982 and Rep. Eric Nelson encouraging passage of House Bill 2044. Pennsylvania investigative journalist Todd Shepherd then testified at length on the results of his extensive probe into the insertion of private funds into the 2020 election.

With a series of PowerPoint slides, Shepherd revealed to lawmakers that beginning in July 2020, consultants working for leftist organizations coordinated with local election officials and Democrat Gov.Tom Wolf’s office to lobby five blue counties to apply for these private grants. While the grants originated with the nominally non-partisan Center for Tech and Civic Life—an organization that Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan’s private foundation later infused with some $350 million in cash—emails reveal that a main consultant involved in targeting select counties, Marc Solomon, worked for the Center for Secure and Modern Elections, or the CSME.

“What’s important to know about CSME is that it is not a 501(c)3, but rather it is a fiscally sponsored project of the New Venture Fund,” Shepherd told the Pennsylvania lawmakers. In turn, “the New Venture Fund is managed by Arabella Advisors,” Shepherd continued, noting that “the ‘parent’ group of Arabella, New Venture Fund — they are part of what the Atlantic Magazine identified as ‘The Massive Progressive Dark-Money Group You’ve Never Heard Of.’” In fact, in January, The New York Times called out the New Venture Fund in its article headlined, “Democrats Decried Dark Money. Then they Won with it in 2020,” Shepherd added.

The CSME was not the only left-wing organization involved in lobbying blue counties to obtain grants. The emails also indicate that The Voter Project played a prominent role in this targeted cash giveaway: Following the 2020 election, the lead strategist in Pennsylvania for The Voter Project would brag that The Voter Project “was instrumental in signing up over 3.2 million people to vote by mail and leading the soft-side effort to win the swing state in 2020.”

How the Left Opened This Battlefront

A July 2020 email exposes the beginning of these efforts, with The Voter Project’s Gwen Camp introducing Delaware County’s Christine Reuther to CSME’s Solomon, saying they had “both been hearing about the other’s operations” and “want[ed] to get everyone together to talk about the potential for an official partnership.” According to the testimony, Camp copied Jessica Walls-Lavelle, a special advisor to the chief of staff on election reform in Wolf’s office, on that email, along with The Voters Project lead Pennsylvania strategist Kevin Mack.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis last month signed into law HB 1557, a measure that forbids instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity to children in grades pre-K through grade 3.

The legislation states that “classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.”

Mother barred from speaking at veteran suicide royal commission until after federal election

The royal commission into veteran suicide has told the mother of a veteran who took his own life she cannot give public evidence until after the federal election because she intends to run as a candidate, despite already hearing testimony from another witness whose name will also be on the ballot in May.

Julie-Ann Finney was one of the most high-profile campaigners for the establishment of the national inquiry following the death of her son David in 2019, and a vocal critic of the Morrison government's original alternative proposal.

"The commission notes that Ms Finney has stated that she intends to run as a candidate for the Senate in South Australia," solicitors for the inquiry wrote to Ms Finney on March 11, in an email obtained by the ABC.

"In the circumstances, the commissioners do not consider it would be appropriate for Ms Finney to give oral evidence at a public hearing before the election.

"It would be more appropriate for Ms Finney to give her evidence in a hearing to be held after the election."

The royal commission conducted its first round of public hearings in Brisbane in December, where one of the witnesses was retired commando Major Heston Russell.

Mr Russell is running for a Senate seat in Queensland and plans to field at least nine other candidates as the leader of his newly formed Australian Values Party.

He discussed his political ambitions in a series of public statements months earlier on both social and traditional media, confirming that he "definitely" wanted to "have a run myself" in an interview with Paul Murray of Sky News in early September.

"The royal commission was not aware of Mr Russell's political ambitions when he gave evidence in Brisbane," a spokeswoman for the inquiry told the ABC.

Mr Russell used the December 3 hearing to share insights from his long career in Australia's special forces and observations about the way soldiers were selected, trained and released into civilian life.

His party was formally registered in January.

United Australia Party leader Craig Kelly egged in Melbourne park, police investigating

Police are investigating after United Australia Party leader Craig Kelly was egged during a rally at a park in Melbourne's inner south east.

In the footage, which the ABC has chosen to publish without sound, the assailant yells at Mr Kelly and he responds "you're a disgrace".

Police said it was believed two women were involved in the attack on the 58-year-old MP, who was uninjured.

Police said in a statement a witness on a bike then followed the women as they ran to a vehicle waiting nearby.

Police said the cyclist parked his bike in front of the car, before the male driver of the car allegedly ran over his foot, causing minor injuries.

The cyclist then followed the car to nearby Toorak Road, where the driver exchanged details with the cyclist before driving away with the two women.

Police are still investigating the identity of those involved.

A spokesperson for Mr Kelly condemned the egging and said they anticipated the perpetrators would be punished.

"It's disappointing that during an electoral campaign somebody would assault somebody expressing ideas," the spokesperson said.

"Craig Kelly is well, he's a courageous man who will be back on the campaign trail tomorrow.

"We expect charges."

Los Angeles County Bans Official Travel to Florida Over Parental Rights Bill

Los Angeles County has barred official travel to Florida over the state’s recently enacted Parental Rights bill. Leftists have labelled the legislation as the “Don’t Say Gay Bill” over a provision that bars the teaching of sex education in grades K-3.

The L.A. County Board of Supervisors voted this week to bar staffers from traveling to Florida unless it would “seriously harm the county’s interests.” The county cited the new Florida law as justification, arguing that it discriminates against the LBGT community by barring the teaching of gender ideology and same-sex education to students in kindergarten through grade three.

Sheila Kuehl and Hilda Solis, who both serve as supervisors in Los Angeles County, issued a statement on the Florida law earlier this week. “Schools should be spaced that foster open discussion, critical thinking, meaningful engagement and the safe exploration of ideas,” the pair wrote. “The implementation of this bill would create an atmosphere that stifled such a culture and stifles learning itself.”

The board also banned official travel to Texas this week after the state categorized some transgender-related medical procedures for minors as child abuse. In that motion, L.A. County accused Texas of preventing children from discovering “who they are and feel secure in their sense of self.

“This order is discriminatory, harmful and just plain cruel,” Solis and Kuehl wrote.

Christina Pushaw, who serves as press secretary for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, shrugged off the travel ban in a statement. “The woke bureaucrats running LA County are shooting themselves in the foot with their political grandstanding,” Pushaw said. “This misguided policy is a punishment for Los Angeles County employees – not for Florida.”

The Los Angeles County-imposed travel bans to Texas and Florida do not pertain to private citizens.

Mosquitoes With Synthetic DNA Scheduled For California Release

From its inception, Oxitec has been closely aligned with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Experiments with synthetic and transgenic genes that kill the offspring of female mosquitoes does not bode well for humanity as the technology has already fallen into the hands of eugenic ideologues (e.g., Bill Gates) who are already bent on population reduction. In the mosquito breeding rooms of British biotech company Oxitec, scientists line up fresh eggs, each the size of a grain of salt. Using microscopic needles, the white-coated researchers inject each egg with a dab of a proprietary synthetic DNA.

For four days, Oxitec technicians care for the eggs, watching for those that hatch into wriggling brown larvae. Those “injection survivors,” as the company calls them, face a battery of tests to ensure their genetic modification is successful.

Soon, millions of these engineered mosquitoes could be set loose in California in an experiment recently approved by the federal government.

Oxitec, a private company, says its genetically modified bugs could help save half the world’s population from the invasive Aedes aegypti mosquito, which can spread diseases such as yellow fever, chikungunya and dengue to humans. Female offspring produced by these modified insects will die, according to Oxitec’s plan, causing the population to collapse.

“Precise. Environmentally sustainable. Non-toxic,” the company says on its website of its product trademarked as the “Friendly” mosquito.

Scientists independent from the company and critical of the proposal say not so fast. They say unleashing the experimental creatures into nature has risks that haven’t yet been fully studied, including possible harm to other species or unexpectedly making the local mosquito population harder to control.

Even scientists who see the potential of genetic engineering are uneasy about releasing the transgenic insects into neighborhoods because of how hard such trials are to control.

“There needs to be more transparency about why these experiments are being done,” said Natalie Kofler, a bioethicist at Harvard Medical Schoolwho has followed the company’s work. “How are we weighing the risks and benefits?”

She pointed out that the possible benefits of the technology in California are lower than they would be in more tropical regions of the world where mosquito-borne disease outbreaks often threaten humans. California has never had a casein which an Aedes aegypti was found to transmit disease.

Nathan Rose, Oxitec’s head of regulatory affairs, said the company chose California because the Aedes aegypti mosquitoes have spread rapidly after being discovered in the state about a decade ago. The tiny, aggressive day-biters can lay eggs in a space as small as a water-filled bottle cap left in the backyard.

Rose noted that the company found its mosquito reduced the population in a Brazilian neighborhood by 95% in just 13 weeks.

Hawaii false missile alert – January 13, 2018

Background

On January 13, 2018, a false ballistic missile alert was issued via the Emergency Alert System and Commercial Mobile Alert System over television, radio, and cellphones in the U.S. state of Hawaii. The alert stated that there was an incoming ballistic missile threat to Hawaii, advised residents to seek shelter, and concluded “This is not a drill”.

The message was sent at 8:07 a.m. local time. However, no civil defense outdoor warning sirens were authorized or sounded by the state.

A second message, sent 38 minutes later, described the first as a “false alarm”. State officials blamed a miscommunication during a drill at the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency for the first message. Governor David Ige publicly apologized for the erroneous alert, which caused panic and disruption throughout the state.

The Federal Communications Commission and the Hawaii House of Representatives launched investigations into the incident, leading to the resignation of the state’s emergency management administrator.
