The Crucifixion is not a form of blood magic. Yes the people required blood for forgiveness, but the Crucifixion symbolizes Jesus willingly giving his Life for those He loves. He told you, no one took His life from Him, He laid it down under His own authority.
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets HANG on these two commandments.”
Remember, two thieves died next to Jesus, one on each side. One was willing to believe, one wanted Jesus to prove Himself. Jesus died for both. He told us, if we love only those who love you, what credit is it to you? He's not a hypocrite.
Stand in front of a mirror and pretend to hold an arm out to a neighbor on each side, what do you see?
