The nature of the King. "The First, and the Last, and the Living One," who, though he "was dead," is "alive forevermore" (Revelation 1:17, 18, Revised Version). This King literally "lives forever." He is Divine as well as human. His reign is the reign of the Almighty God, which cannot be destroyed.
