I hate taking the bait but the purpose of the tower of Babel wasn't to take people physically into heaven. It was to prevent God from being able to judge mankind again with a flood. Theoretically they could escape onto the tower to avoid rising waters and thus in their own hubris they felt themselves immune to God's judgement. We all know the end of the story…

I think cern is a big nothing-burger. I feel like if shadowy forces wanted to open dimensional gateways we wouldn't even know about it. They would keep it as some deep black project.

That is just so utterly wrong and ill informed. Modern translations are written from the best manuscript evidence that we have. The case against the KJVs accuracy is staggering my friend.

Also in the case of Genesis 11:5 the word heavens likely just means sky. Read in context it just means that the tower was really tall…

Since most Christian scholars pride themselves on transparency of research the manuscripts are all available online in high resolution scans. We also have footnotes in our bibles to show where there might be subtle differences or text that is in question. Nothing is hidden maliciously from us, we have all the resources to do in-depth study ourselves.

Any first year greek student could muddle their way though the NT manuscripts and know what they actually say, I've done it myself. I was tired of chumps telling me that they weren't accurate so I went to the source.

The only thing I'll acknowledge as being loosely inaccurate is that there are some Greek and Hebrew idioms (cultual phrases) which are difficult to translate and maintain relevance. Thankfully most good commentaries are quick to point these out and they don't fundamentally alter the content of the Gospel of the Kingdom.

If you trust God you need to believe that he watches over his word to perform it and that includes its transmission through the ages into a modern version that we can actually understand.

The 27 books/letters of the NT canon were already the most widely circulated of books at the time of the Council of Nicea. The declaration of the council was a logical recognition of what the church already held to organically.

I believe that God has stewarded over the transmission of his Word and he has kept it clean of any pagan influences or attempts to introduce heresy into the mix. Nicea directly dealt with the Arian heresy which attempts to diminish Christ.

What may I ask is the canon missing?

It's such a silly place to draw a line in the sand. Your salvation is dependent upon your belief in Christ and His work, not belief in some ancient allegorical cosmology.

It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in; (Isaiah 20:22)

This could just as easily prove that the earth is spherical.
