>to casually say he did this or that wrong shows serious ignorance & naivete

True. Just did some digging to try and understand it.

As we know (or maybe not, POTUS endorsed Sean Parnell originally, but Parnell, dropped out because his estranged wife made abuse allegations. Parnell when dropping out endorsed Dave McCormick. Just did some diggging.on McCormick.

He's a big business hedge fund pro china guy. Or at least was pro china when working at his hedgefund Bridgewater. He also worked in the W. Bush admin. Since announcing his candidacy he's hired Stephen Miller and Hope Hicks and leaned hard into MAGA :

> In the first weeks of his candidacy, McCormick traveled to the U.S.-Mexico border to decry “illegal immigrants … coming in record number.” He aired a campaign ad during the Super Bowl in which a crowd chants “Let’s Go Brandon!”—MAGA code for “F— Joe Biden!” He also hired a team of marquee Trump veterans, including Stephen Miller and Hope Hicks, and began tweeting out articles from Breitbart.com, the right-wing website infamous for such headlines as “Birth Control Makes Women Unattractive and Crazy” and “Hoist It High and Proud: The Confederate Flag Proclaims a Glorious Heritage.”

But apparently, that's all new for him. He's a Davos, McKinsey, Bush era republican that was once a Democrat with a spook for a wife.

>Yet McCormick can raise him one. Upon coming home mid-’90s after his military service, he admits he chose Pittsburgh to work for evil (no, seriously) consultancy McKinsey & Co. and then to launch a software start-up firm because he was thinking about entering politics in his native state — as a registered Democrat. As McCormick himself told it just last year, it was almost a matter of logistics that he ended up instead as a Republican — but what a long strange trip these last 20 or so years have been.

>Even as he burnished his credentials with the GOP Establishment with a stint in George W. Bush’s Treasury Department and then on Wall Street in becoming CEO of Bridgewater Associates, McCormick gradually cozied up to TrumpWorld — literally in the case of his wife, Dina Powell, a Goldman Sachs executive who served as the 45th president’s deputy national security adviser.

tl;dr: Trump HAS TO endorse Oz, or else McCormick the glow in the dark nigger gets the job. So yeah, you right. I didn't see the whole picture, but looking into it, it makes sense now.
