Some will never know the struggle.
Man I miss those days. My friends and I had a code system that the cops around here never did figure out. 40 channels of fucking with the cops.
Parties in the sticks with everyone cued in on what the plan was to get the keg home safe should the man show up to extinguish the pallet bonfire. Security monitoring the radio waves for a clue they were coming.
CBs were our internet.
I still use the lingo with my coworker on our work radios. Management thinks it's hilarious.
Same
Yep. I look back at the freedom of those days and want to cry. The cops had just as much fun as we did.
10-19 back in 20.
Find an old scanner. The new ones have channels programed out of them. And everyone should have a CB. FSR radios are quite good these days. About $60.00 at any sporting goods store.
I dabble in electronics a bit too.
Hey! I was 2. I've lerned a thingy or 4 since then.

I get my local sheriff and fire just fine on my 1990's scanner. They use cell phone a lot more now than they did like 5 years ago though. I can basically figure out now only where and what is happening. Used to get phonetic names and SSN's. A lot has changed in the last few years.
