I guess I hope that's true.

People aren't awake, and even if they're getting a little closer, they're still nowhere near where they need to be. Things have to get crazy stupid and extremely uncomfortable for people to snap out of it. Sadly, that also means a lot of people are going to have to loose a lot of money and retirement "entitlements" they thought were coming, despite the wicked math stacked against it, which should be obvious, but greed and long-established entitlement/decadence is a strong blinder.
