why would inflation push down markets? traders are dumb, if you want to hedge against inflation hold onto an asset that is going to appreciate with inflation. as much as i would love to see most major corps collapse, if inflationary cycles have never caused them to fail in the past, so why would they now? so sell an asset for cash that is going to be worth less tomorrow than it is today. brilliant. Better yet move it into bonds, because they will pay you back for sure at rates far lower than inflation. but having known quite a few people who make their living off high finance, it sound about right, 95% of them will follow the herd over the cliff (buffalo, not lemmings)
he never should have pushed something he was not 100% certain was safe, if he is as smart at all the Trump worshipers say he is, he knew big pharma can not be trusted. if he didn't know that, he is not as smart as they say he is.
