Russia 'unleashes chemical weapons on Mariupol': Liz Truss vows to hold Putin to account amid reports Ukrainian troops were hit by agent dropped from a drone leaving them unable to breathe and dizzy - after Zelensky warned of impending chemical attacks

Unverified reportssay unidentified agent has been dropped on southern city of Mariupol from Russian drone

Claim from the besieged city's Azov Regiment says its troops are currently suffering with 'respiratory failure'

Mariupol has been focal point of Russian attack with 10,000 civilian deaths so far, according to its mayor

Comes after MoD warned yesterday deadly phosphorus bombs could be used in attempt to break resistance

Ukrainian Parliament also tweeted to say it has received reports of Russian troops firing 'nitric acid' in Donetsk

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has vowed to 'hold Putin and his regime to account' over the alleged attack

Russia has 'unleashed chemical weapons on Mariupol' as Liz Truss vows to hold Putin to account amid reports Ukrainian troops were hit by an agent dropped from a drone - after Zelensky warned of impending chemical attacks.

The unidentified agent is said to have been dropped on the southern port city from a Russian drone, according to unverified reports from the city's Azov regiment.

Details of the assault, via the Telegram messaging app, say a 'poisonous substance of unknown origin' has led to the city's defenders suffering from symptoms including breathing issues, 'respiratory failure' and 'vestibulo-atactic syndrome'.

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has said her department is working with partners to verify the claims.

She tweeted: 'Reports that Russian forces may have used chemical agents in an attack on the people of Mariupol. We are working urgently with partners to verify details.

'Any use of such weapons would be a callous escalation in this conflict and we will hold Putin and his regime to account.'

President Volodymyr Zelensky admitted last night that the Russians might deploy chemical weapons, although he fell short of saying they had definitely been used in Mariupol.

The alleged attack came just hours after a pro-Russian general in Donbas appeared to promote the idea of using chemical weapons, telling state media it would 'smoke the Ukrainian moles out of the underground'.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Parliament tweeted to say it has received reports of Russian forces firing 'nitric acid' in the Donetsk region as it warned local residents to wear 'protective face masks soaked in soda solution'. It is not clear if the incidents are linked.

It follows a warning from the Ministry of Defence suggesting that Russia could turn to the use of a deadly phosphorus bombs amid attempts to finally break heroic resistance in Mariupol.

While strictly not considered a chemical weapon, the substance burns fiercely and can cause horrendous injuries, and its use on civilians constitutes a war crime.

Mariupol has seen the most intense fighting since the Kremlin launched its attack on Ukraine and has suffered more than 10,000 civilian deaths to date, according to its mayor Vadym Boychenko.

He also warned the toll could rise beyond 20,000 and claimed Russian forces are bringing mobile cremation equipment into the city to dispose of bodies.

Grassley: ‘Enough Evidence’ to Legitimately Question if Joe Biden Is Compromised by Chinese

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) said on FNC’s “Jesse Watters Primetime” that he had “enough evidence” to warrant an investigation into if President Joe Biden is compromised by his son Hunter Biden’s business dealings in China.

Watters said, “Do you have evidence, senator, that would lead to you believe that Joe is potentially compromised by the Chinese?”

Grassley said, “I only have enough evidence that that’s a legitimate question. I do not have evidence that goes as far as you would like to have me say it goes. If I could say it, I would say it.”

He continued, “What we do know is that Hunter Biden is had arrangements with Chinese business people, the CEFC corporation, it’s an energy company, those Chinese business people had connections to the military and the Chinese Communist Party. We know that they received $5 million one time. James received a million dollars one time. Then we got all sorts of bank records saying on a regular order that $100,000 for many months to Hunter Biden, $ 65,000 to James Biden. And then it raises the question. Does this compromise the national security of the United States? Do they have enough on them to get something out of a president of the United States? I can’t answer that question.”

Watters asked, “Doesn’t that lead most fair-minded people to believe that maybe that money is influencing the president of the United States’ decisions and that could affect our national security?”

Grassley said, “It could mean that. If I had enough evidence to say that you’re 100% right, I would be willing to say that. But I think I have a reputation of just going by the facts and following the money, and right now, I can’t go that far.”

US, UK investigating Ukraine ‘chemical attack’ claims

New allegations surface after weeks of claims that Moscow could use chemical weapons in Ukraine

Ukraine's neo-Nazi Azov Battalion has accused Russian forces of deploying a chemical weapon against its fighters during the siege on Mariupol, potentially creating a pretext for the US and its Western allies to step up efforts to punish Moscow over the conflict.

An unidentified chemical agent was dropped from a drone on Monday, leaving several Ukrainian fighters in the area struggling to breathe, according to unverified accusations posted on Telegram by the ultranationalist Azov Battalion.

“A poisonous substance of unknown origin” was used, the militants claimed, allegedly leaving three fighters suffering mild respiratory issues, dizziness and headaches.

However, an aide to Mariupol Mayor Petro Andryushchenko noted that the allegations of a chemical attack hadn’t been confirmed, according to Reuters.

Separately, the Ukrainian parliament accused Russian forces of “firing on nitric acid tanks” in the Donetsk region. “This was reported by the patrol police,” according to a post on the parliament’s Twitter account on Monday night. “Locals are urged to prepare protective face masks soaked in soda solution.”

Western officials quickly pounced on the allegations, warning of severe consequences for Moscow. “We are working urgently with partners to verify the details,” UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said. “Any use of such weapons would be a callous escalation in this conflict, and we will hold Putin and his regime to account.”

In Washington, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said US officials are monitoring the situation in Mariupol. “These reports, if true, are deeply concerning and reflective of concerns that we have had about Russia’s potential to use a variety of riot control agents, including tear gas mixed with chemical agents, in Ukraine,” he added.

Posted 1h ago

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that Russia could use chemical weapons in Ukraine, and has urged the West to impose stronger sanctions to prevent the weapons from being used.

Key points:

There are unverified reports that suggest chemical weapons have been used in Mariupol

The US says it is monitoring the reports and is "deeply concerned" if they are true

Zelenskyy says stronger sanctions are needed to prevent Russia from using chemical weapons

There have been unconfirmed reports that suggested chemical weapons had been used in the besieged southern Ukrainian port of Mariupol.

"We treat this with the utmost seriousness," Mr Zelenskyy said in his nightly video address.

He did not say chemical weapons had already been used.

"I would like to remind world leaders that the possible use of chemical weapons by the Russian military has already been discussed," he said.

"And already at that time it meant that it was necessary to react to the Russian aggression much harsher and faster."

Petro Andryushchenko, an aide to the mayor of Mariupol, wrote on his Telegram channel that reports about a chemical attack had not been confirmed. He said that he expected to provide details and clarifications later.

Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said the United States was aware of the reports but had not verified the claims.

"We cannot confirm at this time and will continue to monitor the situation closely," he said.

"These reports, if true, are deeply concerning and reflective of concerns that we have had about Russia's potential to use a variety of riot control agents, including tear gas mixed with chemical agents, in Ukraine."

Lawsuit challenges commonsense Alabama law that prohibits providing gender transition hormones and surgeries to people younger than 19

Mere days after Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey signed legislation that makes it felony to prescribe or administer puberty blockers and gender transition hormones to individuals younger than 19, the commonsense bill — which also makes it a felony to conduct gender reassignment surgeries on people in that age bracket — is already facing a legal challenge. The law is slated to take take effect next month.

The suit is being lodged by two physicians, along with two parents who are each waging the suit for themselves and on behalf of their respective transgender kids. One of the parents has a 17-year-old transgender boy, while the other has a 13-year-old transgender girl — a transgender boy is biological female who identifies as a boy, while a transgender girl is a biological male who identifies as a girl.

"The plaintiffs are represented by the Southern Poverty Law Center, GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders, the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and the Human Rights Campaign with King & Spalding LLP and Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC," according to the Human Rights Campaign, which is a pro-LGBTQ advocacy group.

The suit warns that if the 13-year-old kid, referred to as "Mary Roe" in the filing, is forced to stop taking puberty blockers, the child will descend into an abyss of angst.

"For Mary to be forced to go through male puberty would be devastating; it would predictably result in her experiencing isolation, depression, anxiety, and distress. Mary’s parents are also concerned that without access to the puberty-blocking medication she needs, Mary would resort to self-harm as a means of coping with her psychological distress or even attempt suicide," the suit declares.

The swift legal challenge highlights the deep cultural divide in the U.S., as some Americans support protecting kids from leftist gender ideology while others promote the radical concepts.

"By signing SB 184 Governor Ivey has told kind, loving, and loyal Alabama families that they cannot stay here without denying their children the basic medical care they need," said Dr. Morissa Ladinsky, who is one of the plaintiffs, according to the Human Rights Campaign's press release. "She has undermined the health and well-being of Alabama children and put doctors like me in the horrifying position of choosing between ignoring the medical needs of our patients or risking being sent to prison."

"I believe very strongly that if the Good Lord made you a boy, you are a boy, and if he made you a girl, you are a girl," Gov. Ivey, a Republican, noted in a statement last week. "We should especially protect our children from these radical, life-altering drugs and surgeries when they are at such a vulnerable stage in life. Instead, let us all focus on helping them to properly develop into the adults God intended them to be."

Former Trump Attorney John Eastman Pushes for Decertification of Wisconsin Election Following Recent Discoveries of Extensive Fraud

In recent weeks we discovered the following about the 2020 presidential election in Wisconsin:

** Operatives stuffed 957,077 new registrations into the state voter rolls in the 10 months preceding the election, or 29% of the total vote.

** There was 100% turnout in nursing homes in Zuckerberg-funded Wisconsin cities – they stole the votes from seniors.

** The voter rolls were deliberately not cleaned in the state with millions of extra names.

** The state election commission charged Republicans $12,500 for data requests but Democrats were given similar data requests for free.

** 7% of the ballots were illegally trafficked – over 137,000 votes!

** At least 107 ballot traffickers were identified in the state.

All of these revelations point to a fraudulent election. Joe Biden “won” the state by 20,682 votes. There were three times that amount of votes stolen from nursing home residents in the state.

Via ABC News and The Palmieri Report:

On March 16, Eastman and others spent nearly two hours behind closed doors pressuring Republican Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos to nullify the 2020 election and reclaim the electors awarded to Biden, the sources said…

…Eastman in the meeting urged Vos to decertify the election, sources familiar with the meeting said. According to Jefferson Davis, a Wisconsin activist pushing to reverse Biden’s victory who was also in the meeting, Trump’s former lawyer pushed Vos to start “reclaiming the electors” and move forward with “either a do over or having a new slate of electors seated that would declare someone else the winner.”

When reached for comment, Eastman said in a statement to ABC News, “By explicit request from Speaker Vos, that meeting was confidential, so I am not able to make any comment.”
