Pretty sure I just bought $165 worth of grocery item for $224 and change.. after getting $38 worth of gas for $62 so.. 19.5% seems accurate… Sure sucks the most for the lowest income.. which i"m not in.. I just had a 350sqft room redone with laminate flooring, baseboards, crown molding and paint and it was $1000 for materials and labor.. so the higher priced stuff hasn't increased much but the basic essentials are thru the roof… last time inflation got this high, it was just the beginning of a 10-14 year period and the highest point of inflation was in the middle of the period.. it aint reversing anytime soon.. we're in for a long inflationary cycle or something more drastic.. not less.
