Gilbert Gottfried has died

 

Comedian Gilbert Gottfried has died at 67. A post on his verified Twitter feed says he died following a long illness.

 

Gottfried died from recurrent ventricular tachycardia due to myotonic dystrophy type II, a disorder that affects the heart,according to a statement by his publicist and longtime friend Glenn Schwartz to the Associated Press.

 

There was always a glint in his eye when Gottfried was just about to tell an edgy joke, for example this one from his Just for Laughs set in 2015: "Let me tell you when I was a little boy if my father bought me a baseball I would've made out with him … and I don't want to tell you what I would've done for a G.I Joe."

 

Whether it was natural disasters or terrorist attacks, the phrase "too soon" was never a part of his vocabulary as Gottfried told NPR in 2011.

Gilgo Beach murders: New videos show victim at hotel

 

"Our victim was wearing a yellow sweater and was shown both arriving and leaving a hotel," Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison said. "We believe she left the hotel that night to meet her killer."

 

But the killer or killers responsible for Waterman's death and nearly a dozen other victims, many of whom were sex workers found along Ocean Parkway more than 10 years ago, still remains a mystery.

Eco-mob Just Stop Oil have launched a twelfth day of action today, by gluing their hands to roads and climbing on top of oil tankers.

 

The group have launched a protest in Purfleet, Essex, this morning. There is an Esso oil refinery on the outskirts of the town, along with a number of fuel tanker depots.

Fort Worth shooting suspects arrested after police catch them vacuuming shell casings at car wash

 

An officer with the department’s Real Time Crime Center immediately tracked the suspect vehicle using city cameras and relayed its location to officers on the street.

 

Officers found the suspects, identified as Eric Lewis Moore and Trenton Williams, at a car wash near the shooting scene, police said. Williams was allegedly seen vacuuming shell casings from inside his vehicle.
