John Legend staging NY concert to honor military heroes with Jason Derulo

Seven-time Grammy winner John Legend is back May 29 for a one-night only performance to honor military heroes over Memorial Day Weekend. The Post has exclusively learned that the benefit concert will take place at the UBS Arena in Elmont, NY.
To quote the title of one of John Legend’s most popular songs, “Save Room” — in your calendar.
The 12-time Grammy winner is coming to New York on May 29 for a one-night-only performance to honor military heroes over Memorial Day weekend.
The Post has exclusively learned that the benefit concert will take place at the UBS Arena in Elmont, NY, and Jason Derulo is also scheduled to make an appearance.
Derulo, 32, is set to take the stage at 8 p.m. and Legend, 43, will follow.
The performances will cap off a two-day event that is part of Northwell Health’s “Side by Side” music series, which pays tribute to military personnel, veterans and their families every year.

Northwell Health ‘100% vaccinated’ after firing 1,400 workers who refused shot

Northwell Health — the state’s largest hospitals and clinical network — has fired 1,400 employees for refusing to receive the coronavirus vaccine, it was revealed Monday.
Northwell Health has over 76,000 employees and is now filling the positions left vacant by workers who refused to comply with the state mandate for health workers to get vaccinated, a spokesman said.
Service for patients has not been affected, the rep said.
In New York City, Northwell Health operates Lenox Hill hospital in Manhattan, Long Island Jewish and LIJ Forest Hills in Queens, and Staten Island University hospital.
“Northwell Health is proud to announce that our workforce – the largest in New York State – is 100 percent vaccinated. This allows us to continue to provide exceptional care at all of our facilities, without interruption and remain open and fully operational,” the hospital network said in a statement.
