Fauci: ‘You Use Lockdowns to Get People Vaccinated’

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that “you use lockdowns to get people vaccinated” while discussing the extreme COVID lockdowns in China.

Mitchell said, “How concerning is the outbreak in China? We see the lockdown in Shanghai and State Department now ordering families out, all nonessential workers out of Shanghai.”

Fauci said, “China has a number of problems, two of which are that the complete lockdown, which was their approach, a strictest lockdown you’d never be able to implement in the United States. Although that prevents the spread of infection, I remember early on they were saying, and I think accurately, they were doing better than anyone else. You use lockdowns to get people vaccinated so that when you open up, you won’t have a surge of infections. Because you’re dealing with an immunologically naive population of the virus because they’ve not been exposed because of the lockdown.”

He added, “The problem is the vaccines they’ve been using are not nearly as effective as the vaccines used in the United States, UK, EU, and other places. So, they don’t have the degree of protection that’s optimal. Also, they have a lot of their older population, which are the most vulnerable among us, and so, there’s a double negative there. One, they don’t have people who are protected, and B, the people who need it most, are not getting the vaccination. That’s the source of the problem in China.”

Gun Used in Brooklyn Subway Attack Was Purchased Legally

The gun used to shoot 10 people in New York City on April 12 was purchased legally, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

ATF investigators were able to find records that showed Frank James purchased the firearm from a federal firearms licensee in Ohio in 2011, John DeVito, an ATF official, told reporters during a briefing on Wednesday.

“Essentially, we tied that gun utilized the shooting to our target, and now we have our target in custody,” DeVito said after James was arrested.

In a court filing, FBI special agent Jorge Alvarez said the Glock 17 pistol was “was lawfully purchased in Ohio” by James, citing ATF records.

The semi-automatic gun was manufactured in Austria and marks on the serial number “appear to reflect that an attempt was made to deface the serial number,” Alvarez wrote.

The timeline on the gun spans 16 years and five states, according to DeVito.

James Essig, an NYPD official, told reporters during a briefing that James has ties to Ohio, New Jersey, and New York in addition to Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

He was arrested in New York nine times between 1992 and 1998, including for possession of burglary tools, a criminal sex act, criminal tampering, and theft.

Another three arrests took place in New Jersey, once in 1991, once in 1992, and once in 2007.

The arrests were for trespass, larceny, and disorderly conduct.

The lack of a felony conviction enabled James to buy a gun legally, Essig said.

Dem Strategists Warn Of 'Biblical Disaster' At Midterms After Doing 'F**king Horrible Job'

Between the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, hobbling domestic energy production, rampant inflation following a tsunami of stimmies, politicized pandemic 'science,' and dismal approval ratings that reflect the entire quagmire, left-wing strategists are predicting doom for Democrats come midterms.

"I think this is going to be a biblical disaster," one Democratic staffer told The Hill on condition of anonymity. "This is the reality we are in as Democrats and no one wants to face it."

Democrats know the bitter taste of bad midterm results. The party fared dismally during the first midterm elections of President Clinton and President Obama. In 1994, with Clinton in the White House, Democrats lost a net 54 House seats. In 2010, under Obama, they lost 63 seats.

An increasingly gerrymandered Congress makes that kind of wipeout hard to see this year.

But around Washington, virtually no one expects Democrats to retain their slim House majority. One useful point of comparison is 1982, when inflation was rampant as it is now and Republicans lost a net 26 House seats with President Reagan in the White House. -The Hill

Another issue plaguing Democrats is a flood of immigrants crossing the southern US border - with as many as 18,000 per day anticipated by the Department of Homeland Security after the Biden administration abandons the use of Title 42 in late May - a Trump-era measure which was used to deny entry to migrants during the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Biden's aggressive stance against the Russian invasion of Ukraine hasn't translated to a significant polling boost - suggesting Americans aren't looking forward to a long war of attrition.

"We are in a very chaotic moment right now," said Democratic strategist Joel Payne. "There’s COVID, Afghanistan was just last year, now there’s the war in Ukraine, and the economy is up or down depending on who you are. There is this general instability that sunk Donald Trump a mere 18 or 20 months ago, and it is now Joe Biden’s problem, Joe Biden’s challenge."

While pushing a billion dollar ‘pandemic prevention’ global government health ‘solution’ at a TED Talk this week, Bill Gates addressed ‘conspiracy theories’ regarding himself and COVID vaccines, calling those who speak about them “crazy.”

In an appearance at the TED2022 conference in Vancouver, Canada, Gates declared that it was “somewhat ironic” that protesters had gathered outside the venue because he has “saved tens of millions of lives.”

Gates said that “The Gates Foundation is very involved in vaccines, the invention of new vaccines, funding vaccines. So it’s somewhat ironic to have somebody turn around and say we’re using vaccines to kill people or to make money or we started the [Covid-19] pandemic,” Insider reported.

Gates continued, “Or when we started during the pandemic, even some strange things — like that I somehow want to track, you know, the location of individuals — because I’m so deeply desirous of knowing where everyone is.”

Gates also proclaimed that it’s “kind of weird,” that people don’t like him, adding “Does this turn into something where there’s constantly crazy people showing up?”

“Hopefully as the pandemic calms down, people are more rational about, ‘Hey, vaccines are a miracle and there’s a lot more we can do,’” Gates further stated.

Gates spent most of the speech pushing his vision for a global emergency-response squad under the acronym GERM, Global Epidemic Response and Mobilization.

Before Joe Biden Cracked Down On Natural Gas, Hunter Biden Pushed It On China

Hunter Biden briefed Chinese energy investors on American natural gas production and sales shortly after a state-run energy corporation entered into a memorandum of understanding with the state of West Virginia.

The Chinese Energy Investment Corp. signed a memorandum of understanding with the state of West Virginia in November 2017, which allowed the two sides to enter negotiations to develop shale gas fields. One month later, Biden offered a presentation to Chinese investors discussing various American shale formations that would be profitable investment opportunities. Biden was receiving payments from CEFC China Energy at the time of the presentation, obtained by the Daily Caller from his laptop, although the presentation does not specify which firm received it.

Biden named the presentation “Natural Gas [CH]_Mervyn Slides_v9_12.12.17,” suggesting a connection to Mervyn Yan, a CEFC official named in a Washington Post report. Yan reportedly helped wire money to Hunter and James Biden, President Joe Biden’s brother who also participated in the business venture.

In the presentation, Biden flagged several major energy fields for potential investment, including Texas’ Permian Basin field, Arkansas’ Fayetteville field and West Virginia’s Marcellus Shale formation. Notes on one slide suggest that Biden believed the maps he provided for the presentation were incomplete, particularly in west Texas, although they do not offer recommendations for future investment.

CEFC China Energy paid Hudson West III, a corporation registered in Delaware, $5 million between August 2017 and August 2018. Hudson West III, whose letterhead is included throughout the slide show presentation, wired nearly $4.8 million to Hunter Biden’s law firm through September 2018, according to a joint report issued by the Senate Homeland Security Committee and Senate Finance Committee.

Hunter Biden believed that using the shell company would allow him to avoid registering under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, he wrote in a 2017 text message to business partner Tony Bobulinski. The Delaware-registered Hudson West III would also allow Biden and his business partners to bid on federal and state-funded projects, he added.
