Yes, it is a category of treatment, namely antibodies from someone who has recovered from the disease (or snake bite) which are then cloned and injected into an infected person.

 

No, the monoclonal antibodies that are used against covid isn't anti-venom.

Just like natural antibodies are disease specific, so are the cloned antibodies.

 

They are administering antibodies cloned from someone who recovered from Covid (original strain which is why it is less effective against Omicron).
