Anu was believed to be the supreme source of all authority, for the other gods and for all mortal rulers, and he is described in one text as the one "who contains the entire universe". Was taking some compass bearings two days ago and when I check against true I was off 3 degrees on all of them. Then I verified that the actual magnetic declination had changed by that much. Instead of being -4 it was -7. Doesn't sound like much, but this (was) near to 0 line…if it was Alaska, a 3 deg shift wouldn't be as surprising. Things are changing.
