The cruiser sank on Thursday after a blaze and an explosion Ukraine has claimed was caused by one of their missiles.
Everyone on board, including a reported 510 Russian sailors, was killed in the incident which is still shrouded in mystery.
Now a satellite image seems to mark the exact location of the ship after it was targeted. The cruiser is shown seemingly engulfed in yellow flames.
Anton Gerashchenko of the Kyiv Interior Ministry claimed "the explosion was so strong that the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet sank in a matter of minutes."
He insisted this came from sources in Sevastopol where the Russian Black Sea Fleet is based.
Cruise missiles, of which there were 16 on board, then exploded on board the vessel.
Gerashchenko claimed “all the crew of the cruiser Moskva died”.

But earlier reports suggested a Turkish vessel had rescued more than 50 people and 14 sailors were said to have been flown to Sevastopol.
Russia however said the ship was evacuated, but lives were reportedly lost on the battleship.
Scores of cars said to belong the sailors remain parked in the port of Sevastopol suggesting the occupants will not return to them.
The Moskva, Russia claimed was under tow when it went under the water, apparently near Sevastopol rather than where it was hit by Ukrainian missiles.
A ceremony was held for the ship and its sailors in Sevastopol, as crew relatives defied Russian orders not to attend.
A wreath was laid next to a Black Fleet statue which read: “To the ship and the sailors”.
Fears have also emerged nuclear weapons may be on the sea bed after Ukraine's hit.
Anti-ship P-1000 "Vulkan" missiles, which are able to carry a nuclear warhead, were onboard the Moskva cruiser.
Sources in Ukraine have also claimed the ship's captain First Rank Captain Anton Kuprin, 44, was killed after the vessel was hit by anti-ship missiles.
He “died during an explosion and fire on board the former flagship of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation,” said Anton Gerashenko.
The official added: “We do not mourn.”
His death has not been confirmed by Moscow on Kuprin, but Russia has not announced many military deaths during the war.
The Mirror reported how Russia ’s Black Sea flagship was badly damaged after a Ukrainian attack, in a significant setback for Vladimir Putin ’s forces.
Moscow claimed it was towing the warship back to port and claimed the missile attack was simply ammunition exploding on board instead but it sank under tow “in a storm” not far from port..
Ukrainian sources have said that there is a real worry that there were several nuclear missiles onboard the vessel which sank off Sevastopol.
