On the flip side, you can't go 40+ years falling asleep at the wheel while schools take over a larger part of "helping" kids with mental issues, abuse issues at home, "finding" themselves, sex ed, D.A.R.E., and then suddenly want to ban them from doing any of that.
Anon agrees, any/all sex talk should be between kids and their parents/guardians. That means that parents needs to step the fuck up. Not every child gets to grow up the way anons did with gramma's home cookin, chores to "earn your place", and switches when you goofed up. Lots of kids bounce around from place to place with 1 or no actual parents working 3 jobs. That leaves a lot of room for kids to fill in gaps for themselves, and the predators in schools know this.
So don't blame the system because America's been asleep at the wheel for a couple of generations. The system is just churning out the sort of shit that would be expected of it if it were left alone to do what it likes; which is exactly what happened.
Fiction or not, breaking the conditioning of demonizing humanness needs to fucking stop. There sure would be a shit ton of people lose their shit if they suddenly realized they'd been lied to about everything since birth, and for many generations. And by everything, I do mean everything.
