I keep thinking that when Q talks about how sick they are and how stupid they are what Q is referring to (imo) is that they were so stupid, they were fooled into worshipping the devil. This worship turned ritualistic to the point of total submission. They gave themselves up to all the vile lusts. Then they become possessed. This takes a great toll on the human body. Maybe even where they all seem to get that bruised eye. Getting possessed means they lose control, more and more, of themselves. Total control is siezed they the demon inside them - thus where you also get multiple personalities from. Where you get the love of perversion - hence what we are seeing today.
