Scarcity is manufactured. The current crisis where oil companies can't execute contracts on federal lands currently allotted is a prime example. There are enough wells, and with fracking, enough options, to have a continuous amount of oil (not to mention natural gas) harvested and surplus to put into strategic reserve all at the same time. Videos like this are a neat thought exercise in attempting to work through problems that don't exist; at least not in the way we think they do. That doesn't mean anything being discussed is in the realm of reality. There's always something missing from the facts presented, or an assumption being made ("finite" resources) to conjure up the problem to begin with. Think about it. What's the difference between PDJT and Biden when it comes to oil? Why would PDJT be so confident to give companies the full green light to move forward in harvesting oil if such scarcity were a reality? Surely we'd run out in less than a year! But it never happens, does it. SA never "runs out" of oil, and they aren't even on the largest reserve in the world. USA is, though.
