Hydrocarbons on Titan don't "prove" abiotic production of hydrocarbons that result in coal beds, tarpits, oil formations, and natural gas on Earth. Heat+pressure+time, can squeeze previously unextracted hydrocarbons into existing wells, but that fact also doesn't "prove" abiotic creation processes.

The "living matter" that gets converted to "fossil fuels" is the remains of plant material…trees, shrubs, & aquatic life like algae, etc.

Why did the FDA prohibit sassafras (safrole) when the science showed 1) humans would have to consume 30 gallons of rootbeer/day to achieve the same dose equivalent in their "mouse" trials & 2) humans are not suceptible the cancers produced in the mice.
Safrole heals the gut (among other ailments) better faster and cheaper than Rockefeller's petroluem based meds, and the carcinogenic biologics produced in lab mice.

YW. I got some amazing roots, dripping with sap, from E. TN a couple of years ago. The root bark I got from N. MO more recently was not as intense, but still decent quality.

Coal takes millions of years to form. Millions of years ago, there were places on earth with dense forests in wetlands due to natural disasters such as floods, tsunami, landslides, etc. Over the years, over these forests more and more soil was compiling. These trees were protected by oxidation from biodegradation, usually via mud or acidic water. This traps the carbon in the sediments that were buried. Carbonization happens, carbonization is a phase in which vegetation becomes carbon. It is a slow process.

You ever made char-cloth for rapid fire starting? Fill the tin, poke a little hole, cook over hot coals until the smoke stops. Takes a spark easy.
