Federal Prosecutor Drops Out of Governor Whitmer Alleged Kidnapping Case

A federal prosecutor who urged the jury to convict four men accused in Governor Whitmer’s alleged kidnapping plot dropped out of the case on Tuesday.

U.S. Attorney Johnathan Roth withdrew on Tuesday from the alleged kidnapping case of the tyrannical Michigan Governor Whitmer, according to court documents.

Roth was the co-lead prosecutor in the case together with Nils Kessler.

This comes after a Michigan jury found NO guilt verdicts in the trial against four of the alleged kidnapping defendants two weeks ago. The case continues to fall apart now that the American public know the FBI actually hatched the plot. paid for the plot, ran the plot, and set up the innocent men in their immoral scheme.

A federal prosecutor withdrew Tuesday from the case of a plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, days after two men were acquitted and the jury couldn’t reach a unanimous verdict for two more.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan Roth notified the judge in a brief court filing. He’s not required to give a reason.

“We don’t have any comment on our staffing of cases in this office,” said Breane Warner, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Grand Rapids.

Roth was one of two prosecutors at the high-profile trial of Adam Fox, Barry Croft Jr., Daniel Harris and Brandon Caserta. He gave the opening statement, saying the men wanted to kidnap Whitmer and create a “war zone here in Michigan,” and aggressively cross-examined Harris, the only defendant to testify.

Harris and Caserta were acquitted on April 8, while the jury deadlocked on Fox and Croft. The government signaled that a second trial for Fox and Croft was likely, though no formal notice has been filed.

"The Biden administration is preparing to announce another substantial military aid package for Ukraine this week," NBC News cited five US officials to report Tuesday evening. "Three officials said the package is expected to be similar in size to the $800 million one the administration announced last week."

Biden previewed the new aid package by answering a simple "yes" when asked by a reporter whether Washington will send more artillery to Ukraine.

The new transfers are expected to include "tens of thousands more artillery rounds" - notes Bloomberg, and likely along with more anti-tank missiles, as has been consistently shipped stretching back even before Russia's late February invasion kicked off.

It appears to be the administration's response to Moscow launching a 'new phase' in the war: a major force buildup and push to take the Donbas region from Ukraine, which the Kremlin reportedly wants to see fully accomplished by May 9, Victory Day, which commemorates the Soviet defeat of Nazi Germany.

Without doubt these continual major weapons packages pledged to Ukraine will only push Russia and NATO into increasingly direct confrontation, given the Kremlin's standing warning that it will target any inbound Western arms transfers.

Meanwhile, on Monday a senior Pentagon official told Reuters of plans to begin training Ukrainian forces on how to use American-supplied howitzers. It was described, however, that the training would occur outside Ukraine, likely in a neighboring friendly country like Poland.
