Biden also banned all Russian ships from docking in US ports.

ABC News’ Teddy Davis and Lindsey Ellerson Report: Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., told Planned Parenthood Tuesday that sex education for kindergarteners, as long as it is “age-appropriate,” is “the right thing to do.”

“I remember Alan Keyes . . . I remember him using this in his campaign against me,” Obama said in reference to the conservative firebrand who ran against him for the U.S. Senate in 2004. Sex education for kindergarteners had become an issue in his race against Keyes because of Obama’s work on the issue as chairman of the health committee in the Illinois state Senate.

“‘Barack Obama supports teaching sex education to kindergarteners,'” said Obama mimicking Keyes’ distinctive style of speech. “Which — I didn’t know what to tell him (laughter).”

Mark Zuckerberg barred from Russia

The Facebook mogul is among 29 US politicians, executives and media figures blacklisted by Moscow

Responding to US sanctions against Russian government officials and their family members, Moscow has sanctioned 29 US citizens, including Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Vice President Kamala Harris. They are banned from entering Russia indefinitely.

The “executives, businessmen, experts and journalists who shape the Russophobic agenda, as well as the spouses of a number of high-ranking officials” are being banned in response to anti-Russian sanctions affecting families of officials, scientists, cultural and business figures, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

In addition to Zuckerberg, Moscow has blacklisted LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky, as well as the presidents and CEOs of military industry giants Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, L3 Harris Technologies, Leidos, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Aerojet Rocketdyne. Shipbuilder Huntington Ingalls Industries and drone-maker AeroVironment have also been sanctioned. The director of the Mitchell Institute of Aerospace Studies and the president of the Bank of America were also on the blacklist.

Moscow also sanctioned US politicians and their spouses, starting with Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff, White House Chief of Staff Ronald Klein, State Department spokesman Ned Price, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby, Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks, vice-chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Christopher W. Grady, and the deputy health secretary, listed as “Richard/Rachel Levine.”

Russian sanctions also named Evan Ryan, spouse of Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Margaret Goodlander, wife of National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. Both hold posts in the Biden administration, Ryan as the White House cabinet secretary and Goodlander as an adviser to the Justice Department. Robert Kagan, husband of Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, rounds off the sanctioned spouses list.

Bringing up the rear are media personalities the Foreign Ministry accused of “shaping the Russophobic agenda.” These include ABC host George Stephanopoulos, Washington Post columnist David Ignatius, CNN analyst Bianna Golodryga, as well as “Meduza” editor Kevin Rothrock, along with two experts from the Woodrow Wilson Center and the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center think tanks.

Further sanctions announcements can be expected in the near future as countermeasures against the hostile actions of US authorities, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Russia has already sanctioned Blinken, Sullivan, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Mark Milley, CIA Director William Burns, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, as well as President Joe Biden himself and his son Hunter. They were put on Moscow’s blacklist in mid-March, in response to US sanctions.

Kremlin puzzled why Zelensky is unaware of Russia’s peace proposals

Ukrainian leader’s remarks “raise certain questions,” Putin’s spokesman said

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s claims that he has not received a peace proposal from Moscow “raise certain questions,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.

The day before, Peskov announced that Russia had sent a draft agreement to Kiev, adding that “the ball was now with the Ukrainian side.” However, later that day, Zelensky, speaking at a press conference with EU Parliament President Charles Michel, said that he “hadn’t seen anything” and “didn’t hear anything.” “I’m sure they (Moscow) didn’t give us anything,” he claimed.

The Kremlin spokesman, responding to those remarks, said that they “raise certain questions why President Zelensky was not informed about our text proposals.” Peskov added that, nevertheless, Moscow would expect the Ukrainian negotiators’ response.

“Our latest draft was handed over to… the Ukrainian negotiating delegation, so we will continue to wait for an answer,” he told the media.

Zelensky, meanwhile, on Wednesday not only said that he had not received proposals from Moscow but also commented on Peskov’s remark about the ball.

“The ball is on our side? At some point I used to play football well. There is a rule - there are two teams and there is a ball. It seems to me that he (Peskov) Is playing by himself. You can’t play with such serious things. We will definitely show how we hit the goal when we are given the ball,” – the Ukrainian leader said.

Since the launch of Russia’s military attack on Ukraine on February 24, Moscow and Kiev have held several rounds of negotiations aimed at resolving the crisis. March 29 was the last time when the two negotiating teams met in person. On April 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the talks had reached deadlock. He explained that Ukraine had refused to fulfill some of Russia’s key requests - to recognize Crimea as Russian and the Donbass republics as independent.

Russia attacked the neighboring state in late February, following Ukraine’s failure to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements, first signed in 2014, and Moscow’s eventual recognition of the Donbass republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. The German and French brokered protocols were designed to give the breakaway regions special status within the Ukrainian state.

The Kremlin has since demanded that Ukraine officially declare itself a neutral country that will never join the US-led NATO military bloc. Kiev insists the Russian offensive was completely unprovoked and has denied claims it was planning to retake the two republics by force.

Spotify Won't Renew Podcast Deal With The Obamas

After a handful of D-grade, washed out artists recently quit Spotify over their virtue signaling "protests" of Joe Rogan, Spotify has turned the table and has refused to renew the contract on the Barack and Michelle Obama podcast after it expires this year.

According to Bloomberg, the former first family’s production company, Higher Ground, won’t be signing a new deal with the audio platform, and is instead talking to other distributors about a deal "worth tens of millions of dollars, among the most-lucrative in the podcasting business."

However, while a quick glance at the Bloomberg story would leave one with the impression that the decision to depart Spotify - best known for hosting the Joe Rogan podcast - was the Obamas' (yes, it may come as a surprise to many, but they too have a podcast), just a few lines lower we read that Higher Ground - the production company - is in the middle of negotiations with several potential partners, including Amazon’s Audible and iHeartMedia - and has also spoken to Spotify, "but the Swedish streaming giant declined to make an offer, according to three sources familiar with the discussions."

In addition to purely monetary considerations, Higher Ground - which is certainly not a reference to the Obamas' Martha's Vineyard beachfront mansion which stands to promptly be submerged under several hundred feet of water when the polar ice caps melt in a few years according to the, well, Obamas - is seeking a deal that will allow it to produce several shows and release them on multiple platforms at the same time. This, according to Bloomberg, is one reason why someone like Spotify has told the Obamas to take a hike - a widely released show will end up on their service anyway.

Meanwhile, the Obamas are each willing to commit to appearing in an eight-episode program, which for some bidders isn’t enough of a commitment to justify a deal comparable to those for shows like “SmartLess,” “Call Her Daddy” and “My Favorite Murder.” Those shows appear weekly, or with a frequency to close to that, while Higher Ground’s programs featuring the Obamas have been limited series.

Higher Ground previously struck a deal with Spotify in 2019 - when the Obamas planned their post-presidency media business - and released podcasts like "The Michelle Obama Podcast" and the Barack Obama-Bruce Springsteen program "Renegades: Born in the USA." These podcasts debuted exclusively on Spotify, and only went live on other services months later. That exclusivity is why Spotify paid Higher Ground, but the production company found that being tied to one service limited the audience for its shows (not to mention the money), and has led to clashes during the course of their partnership.

The two parties have also disagreed about how much of the company’s output would include the former president and first lady. Spotify wanted more shows featuring two of the most famous people in the world, while Higher Ground hoped to use their deal to provide a platform for a range of voices. Higher Ground has pitched Spotify dozens of shows, but produced five. The company released “The Big Hit Show,” one of its only programs that didn’t feature an Obama, in January. Sources familiar with their current deal said more Spotify programming will be released through the fall.

Police Investigation of Horrifying Child Porn Ring, Leads Back to One of Their Own

Lake Mary, FL — Last month, the Daytona Beach Police Department’s Advanced Technology and Cybercrime’s (ATAC) unit launched an investigation after receiving a tip about a child porn distribution ring that was being run on a social media app. After doing some digging, Daytona cops made a disturbing discovery — the perpetrator distributing images of child sexual abuse on the app — was one of their own.

This week, Officer Brandon Fox, 22, was arrested and charged with 7 counts of possession and distribution of child pornography. According to police, they received information regarding an individual sharing child pornography via a social media app that included images and videos of sexual acts involving children under 10.

During the investigation, police tracked the horrifying images and videos back to Fox. Investigators then executed a search warrant at his residence and noted that additional charges may be filed as they continue their investigation.

After discovering that Fox was the culprit, a judge issued an arrest warrant on the seven counts and Fox was brought in without incident. He is currently being held in the Volusia County Jail on a $70,000 bond.

According to police, Fox had been with the department for two years. He was fired immediately after his arrest.

After one of his own officers was arrested for such disturbing crimes, chief Jakari Young issued the following statement:

The Daytona Beach Police received information regarding an individual sharing child pornography via a social media app to include images and videos of sexual acts involving children under 10 years of age. The department’s Advanced Technology and Cybercrime’s (ATAC) unit promptly began an inquiry into this sickening crime, after further investigation it was determined that the suspect in this case was Officer Brandon Fox. Fox was taken into custody and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail without incident. 'I know this sounds crazy': NBC medical expert says carry extra masks on planes, coerce your neighbors to wear them

Physician Dr. Kavita Patel, an NBC News medical contributor, says that you should bring extra face masks with you when flying and essentially demand that the people sitting next to you on the plane wear them.

During a recent interview on MSNBC, Dr. Patel advised airplane passengers to self-enforce the travel mask mandate that a federal judge vacated this week.

Admittedly, Patel said her idea sounded "crazy."

"If people want to stay safe, the best thing they can do — high quality mask. And that when possible carry some extra masks," she said.

"I know this sounds crazy, but if you tell someone next to you on a plane — N95 mask or surgical mask and just say, ‘I’ve got an elderly mother at home. I’ve got a child with cancer at home, please do me a favor.' Having the people at least closest to you in that row protecting yourself and them can be the best safety," she continued.

"Carry some extra masks with you, carry some rapid tests with you if you're traveling," she advised.

"Hazleton Police Had The Information About Hernandez-Mendez's Whereabouts"

Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Lou Barletta’s daughter’s ex-husband Gabriel Hernandez-Mendez was a vehicular homicide fugitive for weeks after Hernandez-Mendez killed a 15-year old bicyclist named Hector Padilla in a hit and run incident, NATIONAL FILE can exclusively reveal. Hernandez-Mendez is the father of Barletta’s grandchild with Barletta’s daughter Lindsey. The mayor of Hazleton is a Barletta protege named Jeff Cusat, and sources in the Hazleton Police Department complained about the way the suspect was not being pursued until he finally turned himself in alongside one of Barletta’s friends, an ex-police chief, 47 days after the incident. One insider told us: “Hazleton police HAD THE INFORMATION about Hernandez-Mendez’s whereabouts.”

Lou Barletta, who previously served as mayor of Hazleton, is running for Governor of Pennsylvania as an establishment candidate in the Republican primary against numerous other candidates on May 17.

“The mayor was told to tell the police to hold the truck and to not go after the suspect involved in the hit and run,” one insider close to the situation told NATIONAL FILE, citing “my sources within the Hazleton Police Department.”

Another source told NATIONAL FILE: “He (Gabriel Hernandez-Mendez) did a hit and run. The kid obviously died. The truck still has not been recovered…I believe it was going to be covered up no matter, because Barletta is tight with mayor Jeff Cusat and Frank DeAndrea the ex-chief of police. Frank DeAndrea actually walked Gabriel Hernandez-Mendez in (for his surrender to police). I’m sure some calls were made ahead of time.”

Another source explained: “Former Hazleton police chief Frank DeAndrea somehow coaxed Hernandez-Mendez to turn himself in. Hazelton police told DeAndrea (about the case) because DeAndrea was inquiring. Hazelton police HAD THE INFORMATION about Hernandez-Mendez’s whereabouts. Current mayor Jeff Cusat was mentored by Lou Barletta. Cusat had cops keep it under wraps. People close to DeAndrea revealed all of this.”

NATIONAL FILE is the first news outlet to reveal the connection between Lou Barletta and Hernandez-Mendez. The Times-Leader in Wilkes-Barre and other outlets chronicled the fact that Hernandez-Mendez was charged and pleaded guilty (without mentioning his connection to Barletta). According to the Times-Leader: “Police further obtained the license plate from footage of the Chevrolet that was registered to Hernandez-Mendez, according to court records.”

DeAndrea formerly worked for former mayor Joe Yannuzzi, who succeeded Barletta as mayor of Hazleton.

A third party source close to DeAndrea said that the White 2013 Silverado was “chopped up.” However, a source located the truck before that happened.

Youngkin Welcomes Google in Schools, Touts New Partnership with Big Tech

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin is touting a new partnership between the state and big tech giant Google that will welcome the openly left-wing corporation into Virginia schools to provide “workforce development” training and “computer science opportunities” to Virginia students. Google has been at the forefront of promoting Critical Race Theory and pro-trans ideologies targeting children, two things Youngkin promised to remove from Virginia schools during his campaign for Governor.

Governor Youngkin joined Google executives this week in Northern Virginia, where the tech giant has built massive offices and data centers in recent years, to publicly unveil Google’s new $300 million investment in Virginia. The investment includes the construction of more data centers, which already dot Virginia’s landscape and have become a hot button issue in the mostly rural areas they’re being placed in as residents wonder exactly what their community is getting out of welcoming in big tech.

In addition to further data center construction and an expansion of business operations in Virginia, Google seems to have effectively bought a seat at the table of Virginia’s schoolchildren, something that is quickly raising alarms among parent activists who have been fighting to push the radical left out their kids’ schools, not bring them back in.

Included in Google’s massive investment is a $250,000 grant to the Richmond-based nonprofit CodeVA to establish computer science lab schools and expand tech training opportunities for both teachers and students. Additionally, the investment brings Google into a partnership with Virginia’s community colleges and career and technical training schools to provide professional certification training to high schoolers and others. Google, “will make sure our kids are not only college ready but career ready,” says Governor Youngkin.

“Google’s investment of $300 million in VA & a CodeVA partnership is an exciting step for workforce development & computer science opportunities for Virginia’s students,” Youngkin posted to Twitter along with photos of himself celebrating the deal with Google executives. “Now, the general assembly must act to move forward with innovation schools to maximize these great partnerships,” Youngkin went on in saying, encouraging Virginia’s state legislature to further Google’s newfound influence over Virginia schools even more.

Tech billionaire Dan O’Dowd running for Senate just to bash Elon Musk’s Tesla

A tech billionaire running for a US Senate seat from California is focusing on one issue only — Elon Musk and the “unbelievably bad” autonomous vehicles produced by his company, Tesla.

Dan O’Dowd, the billionaire founder and CEO of Green Hills Software who is spending his own money to fund a campaign, says he wants to ban Tesla’s full self-driving features if he is elected.

“We did not sign up our families to be Tesla crash test dummies,” O’Dowd said in announcing his candidacy on Tuesday for the seat currently held by Sen. Alex Padilla.

“Elon Musk is pushing Tesla’s defective Full Self-Driving technology, and it’s threatening people across the country,” according to O’Dowd.

“The government continues to allow Tesla to put unregulated, dangerous, and defective software on the street in the hands of 60,000 untrained drivers.”

O’Dowd added: “This is a public safety threat and Congress must take immediate action.”

The Post has reached out to Tesla seeking comment.

O’Dowd told POLITICO that his would be a one-issue campaign, and that he declined to say if he truly intended on winning.

“I am going to win votes,” he told POLITICO. “And every vote I win is someone who thinks my issue is more important than [these] other issues.”

Observers believe his only motivation is to use First Amendment protections afforded to political candidates in order to make claims about Tesla products that would not get any television air time if he were a regular private citizen.

Padilla, the incumbent Democrat who is heavily favored to hold onto the seat, was picked by California Gov. Gavin Newsom to fill the post after it was vacated by Kamala Harris, who became vice president.

Democratic Party observers are nervous about O’Dowd’s candidacy because he could potentially siphon off enough votes to force a runoff, which could provide an opening for an unknown candidate that would threaten Padilla’s status as the favorite.

Unlike in other states that hold party primaries to determine the voters’ preferred candidates, in the California system the top two vote-getters regardless of party advance to the runoff.

Democratic Party officials in California are worried that a free-spending candidate like O’Dowd would force them to devote precious resources to helping Padilla instead of shoring up battleground districts in the fight to keep control of the state legislature.

Tesla’s Full Self-Driving technology has been panned by critics, including Musk himself. The CEO admitted last year that the beta version of FSD was “not great.”

Earlier this year, Tesla was ordered by a German court to buy back a $76,000 Model 3 from a disgruntled customer who said the autopilot function was so bad that it mimicked a “drunk novice driver.”

In January, Tesla recalled 54,000 cars to disable an FSD feature that allowed vehicles to roll slowly through intersections without stopping.

Establishment Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) reportedly lauded the Democrats for launching Donald Trump’s impeachment trial after January 6.

Following the incident, McConnell was grateful to Democrats for taking action against his long-time political opponent, the New York Times reported. After it become certain that House Democrats would use January 6 as a potent political cudgel against conservatives, McConnell agreed with Democrats that Trump should be impeached.

“The Democrats are going to take care of the son of a bitch for us,” McConnell purportedly said. “If this isn’t impeachable, I don’t know what is.”

McConnell, who used the media’s framing to purvey January 6 as a “violent insurrection,” conveyed he would support Trump’s impeachment in the Senate. “Several senior Republicans, including John Thune of South Dakota and Rob Portman of Ohio, told confidants that Mr. McConnell was leaning that way,” the Times reported.

The articles of impeachment were soon sent to the Senate, where the debate began between the Washington, DC, establishment and conservatives. Defenders of the president maintained the impeachment trial was inappropriate because Trump was no longer president. Biden had already assumed office.

Upon that argument, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) submitted a motion to Senate Republicans raising “the question of whether it is constitutional to impeach Trump after he left office.” Forty-five senators voted in favor of Paul’s motion, including McConnell.

Trump was later acquitted of all House charges by a vote of 57 to 43; seven Senate Republicans voted with the Democrats to impeach him. Two-thirds, or 67 votes, were needed for conviction.

After Trump’s acquittal, McConnell reportedly divulged to a friend he voted in favor of defending Trump because he needed to keep his job as GOP Senate leader. “I didn’t get to be leader by voting with five people in the conference,” McConnell said.

Trump’s acquittal and continued popularity among Republicans has forced McConnell to lie low and only infrequently comment about the Democrats’ impeachment trial. But when asked on Fox News in February of 2021 if he would support Trump if he were the 2024 Republican nominee, McConnell said he would.

The Former Intel Officials Who Claimed Hunter Biden’s Laptop Was ‘Disinformation’ Are At It Again

Former national security officials who claimed the reported contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop during the 2020 presidential election appeared to be “Russian disinformation” announced opposition Monday to legislation targeting Big Tech, claiming it would facilitate the propagation of Russian “lies.”

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former Secretary of Defense and CIA Director Leon Panetta, and former CIA Director Michael Morell were among those who said in a Monday open letter that bipartisan antitrust legislation targeting tech companies would cripple efforts to counter Russian disinformation.

Several antitrust bills proposed in both chambers of Congress last year are designed to limit alleged anticompetitive conduct by tech companies, including by preventing online platforms from “discriminating” against users, which the former intelligence officials argue would allow “foreign adversaries to gain access to the software and hardware of American technology companies.”

Panetta and Morell both have ties to major tech firms, Politico reported in September 2021, and signed a similar letter in September 2021 warning that antitrust legislation would expose American national security to China.

Clapper, Panetta, and Morell also signed an October 2020 letter that claimed a bombshell New York Post report about emails from a laptop supposedly abandoned by Hunter Biden “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”

Twitter Won’t Label Piers Morgan’s Misinformation About Trump

Yesterday, interviewer and controversy junkie Piers Morgan released a deceptively edited clip on social media appearing to show a contentious end to an interview between himself and former President Donald Trump.

The clip released by Morgan’s team appeared to show Trump getting angry and storming out mid-interview, likely a ploy to increase ratings for Morgan’s new show, Piers Morgan Uncensored.

While Morgan may be uncensored, it appears clips from his show are not — or, at least, they are deceptively edited to mislead viewers. Audio provided to Breitbart News from Donald Trump’s team shows there was no contentious end to the interview, and that the former President did not storm out before it was concluded.

NBC News obtained the same audio, corroborating Breitbart News’ story.

Despite, this, tweets and unedited articles from corporate media organizations that got the story wrong continued to spread freely on Twitter, despite the far-left Silicon Valley company’s stated commitments to “protect” users from alleged misinformation.

Twitter also has a specific rule against “deceptively edited media,” which the platform used as a pretext to take down clips of embarrassing Joe Biden gaffes shared by Donald Trump during the 2020 election campaign.

Morgan’s clip certainly meets any reasonable definition of “deceptively edited,” yet Twitter has taken no action.

In a press release, Donald Trump’s team blasted Morgan following the interview.

“Piers Morgan, like the rest of the Fake News Media, attempted to unlawfully and deceptively edit his long and tedious interview with me,” Trump said. “He wanted to make it look like I walked out on the interview when my time limit of 20 minutes went over by an hour. The good news is that the interview was taped by us as a means of keeping him honest. The interview was actually very strong on the 2020 Election Fraud, with me calling him ‘a fool’ if he truly believed those results.”

Twitter has not responded to a Breitbart News request for comment.

Deep State: Senior French Immigration Civil Servant Would Refuse to ‘Collaborate’ if Le Pen Wins Presidency

The head of France’s Office of Immigration and Integration (Ofii) has stated that if populist Marine Le Pen wins the French presidency this weekend, he will refuse to “collaborate” with her.

Didier Leschi, the head of Ofii since 2015, stated that he would not “collaborate” with Le Pen if she wins the French presidency in the second round of the presidential elections, which are set to take place this weekend.

“I will not be able to collaborate with a political authority that I will have the deep conviction that it is breaking with our republican traditions,” Leschi said, broadcaster BFMTV reports.

Leschi’s comments coincide with the association France Terre d’Asile, an NGO that supports asylum seekers, who called on French voters to reject Ms Le Pen in the second-round vote.

“Never before has the far-right been so close to coming to power in our country. Never before has public debate given so much space to its ideas and programs that call into question our republican values, the defence of democracy, liberty, equality and fraternity,” the group wrote in a statement.

“In this context, alarmed by what the program of the National Rally represents, France land of asylum calls to block it by voting for Emmanuel Macron on April 24th,” the group added.

Le Pen has called for radical reforms to France’s immigration system and has promised to launch referendums on the subject if elected.

Last week, President of the University of Nantes Carine Bernault called don faculty and students at her university to block Le Pen saying, “I solemnly call on you to vote on April 24 to block the extreme right and therefore the National Rally.”

Bernault was criticised for her email, with National Rally (RN) politician Jordan Bardella arguing that she had broken the rule of neutrality associated with her position as president of the university.

“The position taken by the President of the University of Nantes, in violation of the rules of neutrality imposed by her office, is gross misconduct. The students are right to be outraged. Be free: do not let your choices be dictated by Emmanuel Macron’s friends!” Bardella said.

Last week, a letter signed by around 500 artists also called for French voters to reject Le Pen and vote for President Emmanuel Macron, stating, “We cannot imagine, at the head of France, a candidate whose programme remains that of xenophobia and withdrawal, a candidate who has made an alliance with totalitarian and warmongering powers.”

Despite the calls for voters to reject the populist candidate, polls show the race between the two remains tight, with just a few percentage points splitting the pair.
