Expand your thinking. MI5/6 has many white hats, just as the FBI and some other 3 letters did. They have been wanting a way out for a long time as well.
What you see happening in the US has/is/will be going on, on a global scale. TM would not need to be a Super Hero to go with the Global White hats, especially if things culminate like we hope. Q and Trump have both eluded to the global scale of things.
Additionally, given the Brexit movement, the US will be their ally vs the EU. Many things unresolved with that, but what is clear is that England (with US support) has been leading that charge. There are more defectors on the horizon.
