I was born and raised in Seattle, had plenty of friends who lived in Auburn. It is a long way from the airport, is a small town, and I agree, who the fuck goes there? Is it just because the name of the college provided a good sound bite on earth day? Green river, how evocative of a beautiful image. In truth it is a small school. It used to be a community college, not sure about now because I no longer live in the region.
Just plain odd that the president of the USA would go to Auburn, WA
