Security clearances held by retired/fired gov officials

I think that when a sane and American Congress comes in next year, they should pass a law that when a government servant or elected official leaves employment by the government, his security clearance is immediately revoked without exception (including Presidents). If said person subsequently gets a job contracting to the government, he needs to be vetted all over again from the beginning to get the security clearance necessary to the performance of his job.

Your reply makes no sense at all. Security clearances are revoked all the time, it's just that such revocations are not uniformly applied to all. Friends of the DS get to keep their clearances regardless of their need to access classified information.
