What is wrong with people?
I was in my PhD program in biomedical science about fifteen years ago and I was a visiting a neuro lab to see if it was a good fit. And they had a rat with with something like this hooked up to it's brain - open wound and everything. And they were making it run on a treadmill.
I didn't sleep for weeks.
Left the whole program a couple months later.
