I've been considering whether the current lockdowns in China might be just a smokescreen for certain factions in the Chinese Govt who are attempting to immobilize and take out their deep state.

Did anyone here believe that was happening here when the scamdemic originally hit? But the more I read about what's happening in China right now, the less optimistic I am about that.

Evidently, the Chinese population wasn't vaccinated due to lack of their own home-grown vaccine. I'm sure their vast population was also a presenting a manufacturing/supply/ distribution for Pvizer, Moderna, Astrazeneca, J&J, etc, when all the rest of the world needed to be vaxxed at the same time.

I'm seeing a lot of talk in the media about how the Chinese should start importing mRNA and vaxxing the entire population. The lockdown regime will be a very nice setting to make sure nobody can escape from any vax requirement they come up with.

"The problem is that although this lockdown is blamed on Communism, there is no precedent for the shutdown of a major city too be found in the Chinese communist tradition; no part of the imposition of technofascism can be traced back to the calls of Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai for class struggle and for resistance to imperialism.

The model for the Shanghai lockdown, it turns out, is the lockdown of Boston after the Boston Marathon bombing of April 15, 2013, exactly nine years ago. On that occasion, the United States Federal government, specifically the FBI, used a murky charge of a terrorist attack (about which serious doubts remain) as an excuse to lock down vast sections of the city of Boston and to confine citizens to their homes while armed police patrolled the streets.

The question we should ask is whether what is taking place in Shanghai is being organized by the same people who organized the Boston lockdown, and similar lockdowns around the world over the last two year, and not by the Chinese Communist Party—or not primarily by the Chinese Communist Party.

I hope I'm wrong about this. But it seems like China is following what happened with the lockdowns and coordinated drive to vaccinate everyone they can - the same thing we've experienced here. Chinese authorities have a lot more flexibility on what pressure they can apply to the public.

In any event, the effects of what's going on in China right now will hit us pretty hard.

Here is a counterpoint…

Xi's Crackdown has nabbed at least17officials in anti-corruption probe.

Things that make you go "hummm"

Xi has continued to press ahead with his signature anti-corruption drive after almost a decade in power, most recently focusing on law enforcement. The campaign has over the years brought down more than 1.5 million government officials, of which the most high-profile ones include the execution of Lai Xiaomin, the former chairman of China Huarong Asset Management Co., and life imprisonment of Hu Huaibang, the former chair of China’s biggest policy bank.
