New York Man Accused of Collecting Six Million Child Porn Pics

A New York man accused of collecting more than six million images of child pornography was arrested Friday on 200 counts of child pornography possession.

Authorities charged David Johnson, 58, with child pornography possession after the police allegedly discovered more than six million images and video footage of child pornography in his Amityville home, the New York Daily News reported.

A concerned citizen reported Johnson to the authorities for suspicious behavior and turned over an MP3 player allegedly containing some of the illicit images and videos, the Lindenhurst Patch reported. When the Amityville Police discovered child porn on the device, they called the FBI and the Suffolk County Police, officials said.

The two police departments, along with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, conducted an investigation and obtained a search warrant for Johnson’s home. Police say that in their search of Johnson’s home, which is located near an elementary school, they found 6,661,242 explicit images stored on 24 devices.

“This individual not only collected child pornography, but had the disturbing practice of organizing this child pornography by age, race, and by particular characteristics, like whether or not the child victims were wearing glasses,” Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini said in a statement. “These images included rape. This is very important to emphasize: The crime of possessing child pornography directly fuels the rape of children.”

Police say they are conducting an ongoing investigation into Johnson. If convicted, Johnson faces up to 20 years behind bars and would be required to register as a sex offender.

A judge ordered Johnson held on $75,000 cash bond or $150,000 bond. Johnson is expected to make his next appearance in court June 18.

Hungarian Govt Outlines ‘Stop Soros’ Legislation Criminalising NGOs Which Aid and Abet Illegal Migrants

The Hungarian government has outlined its ‘Stop Soros’ legislative package, which will punish NGOs and activists facilitating illegal immigration.

George Soros is considered one of the main drivers of mass migration by Hungarian leader Viktor Orbán, with the billionaire financier accused of lobbying the European Union to open its borders and funding ‘civil society’ organisations which help illegal migrants to infiltrate the bloc.

“The new ‘Stop Soros’ legislative package puts forth a more rigorous response by declaring illegal immigration a grave threat to Hungary’s national security,” announced government spokesman Zoltán Kovács.

“Anyone involved in aiding or abetting illegal migration would be committing a criminal offence.”

Amendments to the Police Act, the Penal Code, the Act on Asylum, the Act on the State Border and the Act on Misdemeanours will state that “arranging asylum status for an illegal immigrant or enabling someone who has entered Hungary illegally to acquire residence rights will be seen as facilitating unlawful immigration” and punished with a prison term of between 5 and 90 days.

“Committing such offences on a regular basis, providing financial support for illegal immigration or assisting illegal immigration in exchange for money will constitute felonies, and as such will be punishable by prison sentences of up to one year,” Kovács added.

“Examples of this include publishing or distributing information material with the aim of promoting illegal migration or organising border monitoring along Hungary’s external border.”

The law will also empower courts to permanently expel foreign nationals who become involved in “human trafficking, illegal border crossing, damaging the border barrier, preventing construction works on the border barrier, and facilitating illegal migration”.

Kovács was clear that the purpose of the legislation — which the government hopes to pass through the Hungarian parliament by June 20th — is to “emphasise that the issue of migration falls exclusively within the authority of the national government, affirming our rightful national sovereignty on this issue.”

This represents a direct challenge to the EU, which has been attempting to assert its right to force migrants on unwilling member-states since it introduced compulsory quotas through a Qualified Majority Vote in 2015.

Hungary, Poland, and other like-minded Central European countries have resisted these quotas from the moment they were imposed, and have so far evaded sanctions by supporting each other at the EU level — to the great anger of the bloc’s federalist establishment.

Mexican Officials Charge Former Border City Official with Organized Crime, Extortion

State authorities in the border city of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, arrested a former border city official on extortion and organized crime charges. The same official is also under federal investigation for allegedly trying to smuggle more than 1100 bulletproof vests.

The Tamaulipas government confirmed to Breitbart Texas, the arrest this week of Luis Alfredo Biasi. The suspect is an import and export businessman who was the former Social Development Secretary for the border city of Matamoros from 2013 to 2016. The arrest took place just south of Matamoros as Biasi was making his way to the local airport.

State police officers and prosecutors arrested Biasi on a warrant charging him with one count of extortion and one count of organized criminal activity. Officials moved him to Ciudad Victoria where he is expected to face a judge. Breitbart Texas obtained a photograph of Biasi immediately after his arrest.

According to information obtained by Breitbart Texas, Biasi who owns an import and export business called Alpha is believed to have demanded fees from other import and export businesses in order to “help them” get their paperwork in order.

Federal authorities questioned Biasi last week and some of his employees. Officials arrested the employees in connection with the failed attempt to allegedly smuggle more than 1,100 bulletproof vests that were hidden in a shipment of medical supplies, Breitbart Texas reported.

In 2014, police arrested Biasi on tax evasion charges after connecting him to a warehouse filled with smuggled alcohol and tobacco. Since the products found at Biasi’s warehouse were smuggled, prosecutors at the time alleged that importation taxes were not paid.Federal authorities questioned Biasi last week and some of his employees. It really baffles the mind. Maybe they have some of their own demons they are hiding, or just don't want to face it as a reality, either way it is undeniable in my opinion.

Trump suggests Justice Department officials are leaking letters from his lawyers to media

President Trump called the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election “bad for our country” and accused the Justice Department of leaking letters from his lawyers to the press.

“There was No Collusion with Russia (except by the Democrats). When will this very expensive Witch Hunt Hoax ever end? So bad for our Country. Is the Special Counsel/Justice Department leaking my lawyers letters to the Fake News Media? Should be looking at Dems corruption instead?” Trump tweeted Saturday afternoon.

Special counsel Robert Mueller has been overseeing the investigation into Russian meddling and whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia since being appointed by Rod Rosenstein in May 2017.

According to a report released by the Justice Department on Thursday, Mueller’s probe has cost the agency $17 million since his appointment.

Trump frequently refers to the special counsel’s investigation as a “witch hunt” and has suggested the Justice Department investigate Democrats and Hillary Clinton instead.

Trump appeared to be referencing a 20-page letter obtained by the New York Times and published on Saturday, but he tweeted about it before the article was published.

NATO chief: No assistance for Israel if Iran attacks

The head of NATO said the alliance would not aid Israel in the event of an attack by Iran, according to reports.

Jens Stoltenberg, NATO’s secretary-general, told the German magazine Der Spiegel that because Israel is not a member of NATO, its “security guarantee” doesn’t apply to the country, according to the Associated Press.

NATO is also not involved in conflicts in the Middle East or peace efforts there, Stoltenberg added.

Tensions between Israel and Iran have recently escalated. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has recently ramped up his criticisms of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, which President Trump announced the U.S. would be withdrawing from last month.

Supporters to hold vigil for Reality Winner, accused NSA leaker, on anniversary of her arrest

Relatives of Reality Winner, an Air Force veteran charged with leaking classified National Security Agency material, plan to hold a candlelight vigil Sunday exactly one year after she was taken into custody.

Supporters of Ms. Winner, 26, are expected to commemorate the anniversary of her June 3 arrest outside the Lincolnton County Jail in Lincolnton, Georgia, north of Augusta, where she remains in detention awaiting trial.

“I would invite everyone to come together to support my daughter Reality
on this one-year anniversary of her arrest and jailing,” said Billie Winner Davis, Ms. Winner’s mother. “I do not want
the world to forget her,” she said in a statement.

Ms. Winner was arrested at her home in Augusta within days of allegedly illegally leaking a classified intelligence document to an online news site, according to prosecutors.

Specifics concerning her case are redacted in court files, but subsequent reporting suggests Ms. Winner is suspected of being the source behind a document published by The Intercept last May detailing the role of Russian hackers during the 2016 U.S. presidential race.

An NSA contractor at the time of her arrest, Ms. Winner was charged with “removing classified material from a government facility and mailing it to a news outlet” in violation of federal espionage law. She pleaded not guilty, and her case is currently scheduled to begin Oct. 15, more than 16 months after being taken into custody.

Ms. Winner faces a maximum prison sentence of 10 years behind bars if convicted at trial. Prosecutors previously said they plan to seek a sentence of nine years if and when she’s found guilty.

She is the first person prosecuted by the Trump administration for leaking government material.

“Releasing classified material without authorization threatens our nation’s security and undermines public faith in government,” Rod Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, previously said of Ms. Winner’s case. “People who are trusted with classified information and pledge to protect it must be held accountable when they violate that obligation.”

The top-secret document published by The Intercept described how the NSA believed that Russian state-sponsored hackers targeted a U.S. voting software supplier during the 2016 White House race, boosting claims that Moscow used cyberattacks and other means to meddle in the election.

Russia has denied interfering in the 2016 election.
