Ashish Jha [White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator] is promoting Paxlovid at the press conference, a drug produced by Pfizer to treat COVID-19.
"Each course of Paxlovid treatment (5 days x 2 doses per day x 3 pills each dose) costs $530. As of April 2022, the U.S. federal government has agreed to purchase 20 million courses of Paxlovid treatments and distribute them free of charge at selected pharmacies."

This explains one reason the administration is begging for money from congress- to give to Pfizer, so they can provide 'free medications', at a taxpayer cost of approximately $18/pill.
