On April 13, 2022, 21-year-old Sarah Shulze died. She was a star runner–a scholarship athlete on the University of Wisconsin's track and cross country teams. She earned academic all-Big Ten honors in 2020 and 2021. On April 15, her family announced that Sarah had "taken her own life."

Her family said there were no "red flags" that indicated their daughter was suicidal or unhappy in any way.

But her parents also said that their daughter took her own life because the stress of "balancing athletics, academics and the demands of everyday life overwhelmed her in a single, desperate moment."

There is one thing that really sticks out, like a red flag

Family members said Sarah she had developed a deep love for politics, social causes and women’s rights. She was on the school's student-athlete council, and 'she had been an intern at the Wisconsin legislature and volunteered as a poll worker during the 2020 presidential election.

You probably recall some reports about possible election fraud in Wisconsin during the 2020 Presidential Election. Postal employees in Wisconsin had backdated mail-in ballots. There was a story about a how a sheriff investigated 90 nursing homes in five different counties and concluded there was ‘widespread election fraud.' And then there was the drama when the State of Texas sued four states, including the state of Wisconsin, for ignoring federal and their own state election laws etc….

Sarah's suicide may or may not be related to any of that. Her death may have had nothing to do with her participation in the 2020 election. Maybe it was just the pressure of being a student athlete. Maybe it was the strain of being a young person during a fake global pandemic. She was only 21 after all.

Who knows what really happened during that election? Who knows the real reason Sarah killed herself? The only thing you can say for sure is that Sarah shouldn't be dead today.

Her family also wrote that they were preparing to donate her organs, and asked for support of the Sara Shulze Foundation in lieu of flowers.
