The Conservative Party has launched an investigation into claims a senior MP watched pornography on his phone in the House of Commons.

The office of chief Tory whip Chris Heaton-Harris said “action will be taken” over the claim, which comes as misogyny in politics is under heightened scrutiny.

A female minister who said she was sat next to the unnamed frontbencher at the time told colleagues about the incident at a meeting of Tory MPs in Westminster on Tuesday night, according to reports.

A spokesperson for Boris Johnson said the alleged behaviour was “totally unacceptable”, insisting that “allegations like this are taken incredibly seriously”. They added: “While the chief is looking into it there nothing further we can say.”

Asked whether watching pornography at work was a sackable offence, the spokesperson said: “I am not aware of the disciplinary action. Obviously, it is wholly unacceptable behaviour and it is being looked into.”

2)replied late today that he got the message and will now broker it with the relevant doctors today/tomorrow; note, it is delicate and as you know, there is safety and career concerns so its a nudge nudge discussion and the like, for coming forward with this information is not easy and I applaud them, they are very brave and as they explained, its an issue of humanity and the psychopathy of what is taking place especially to those mandated the vaccines and are punished if they chose not to, for whatever reason; I will update as more is known and note, I already dealt with the best media outfit to handle this discretely and professionally.

This is bout the human condition, humanity, freedom of your own body and decisions. Whether these vaccines were effective and safe, which they are not, then we/I would still rail against them for they were never needed, were and are experimental, and violates our rights and freedoms. They should have never been mandated and only offered to high risk elderly, but again, IMO, these should have never ever been brought and IMO it is criminal to move to vaccinate our children who has near zero risk. It is very simple what I am sharing at this time. So much of what we are doing and what has happened is irrational, illogical, absurd, non-sensical, specious, reckless, and without any sound science.

Let me be simple: some senior doctors/CEOs in hospital (s) in various State (s) in US, have come forward to us advising that they decided to find us and come to us to say they are ready to talk. Scared about safety and careers will be destroyed. They were offered vaccine cards (fake) when they told their hospitals that they do not want the vaccine when they were mandated to take it, and the hospital leaders advised this will ensure they will not be suspended or fired. So you and I will ask, why? How come? Is it due to the lack of safety that these people know about? Or only to not fire these valuable doctors? We are told it may be country wide. So this is very very troubling.

New Zealand High Court Finds That PM Jacinda Ardern’s “Quarantine Lottery” Violated Citizens’ Rights

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s “quarantine lottery” violated citizens’ rights, a high court found on Wednesday.

Far-left PM Jacinda Ardern imposed a dystopian zero-Covid policy that resulted in New Zealanders stuck offshore or stuck in other countries and unable to return home.

New Zealanders desperate to return home were forced to participate in a ‘quarantine lottery’ in order to secure a bed in a military-run ‘quarantine hotel.’

Many New Zealanders were stuck waiting in other countries as their visas expired.

High Court Justice Jillian Mallon on Wednesday ruled this violated New Zealand’s Bill of Rights Act, which guarantees every citizen the right to enter New Zealand.

“New Zealanders’ right to enter their country could be infringed in some instances in a manner that was not demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society,” the judge concluded.

The lawsuit was brought by Grounded Kiwis, a lobbying group that used crowdfunding to bring the case to the high court.

During the height of pandemic restrictions, thousands of New Zealanders desperate to return home essentially had to roll the dice month after month as they tried to secure a coveted bed in a quarantine hotel run by the military.

On Wednesday, a New Zealand court ruled that the government had breached the rights of its own citizens by imposing the lottery-style system on them.

A group called Grounded Kiwis had used crowdsourcing to help fund their case against the government.

But while they were celebrating their victory, the case may have little impact going forward as New Zealand has since abandoned its zero-tolerance approach to the virus and largely dismantled its contentious quarantine system.

Central to the case was New Zealand’s Bill of Rights Act, which guarantees every citizen the right to return home.

High Court Justice Jillian Mallon ruled that forcing people to stay in quarantine hotels for two weeks initially, and later for one week, was reasonable given the circumstances of the pandemic.

But she found that operating a lottery-style system for the beds was unreasonable, and did not take into account how long people had been waiting abroad, or whether they had a compelling need to return home.

A councillor has been found guilty of exposing his genitals three times in front of a Crown prosecutor and her son at a beach.

Tasmanian politician Darren Fairbrother, who has been elected to the Waratah-Wynyard council since the mid 1990s, pleaded not guilty to exposing himself last year.

The incident occurred at Boat Harbour beach in Tasmania's north-west in January 2021 when Mr Fairbrother was accused of exposing himself to a Crown prosecutor, Kate Brown, who is married to a Launceston magistrate, Simon Brown.

Mr Fairbrother had told the court his shorts had become caught on a rock, causing them to fall down and uncovering the G-string he was wearing underneath, the ABC reported.

As a result he said his buttocks had become exposed, but 'not 100 per cent of it'.

He was questioned by prosecutor Phillipa Edwards as to why he didn't simply pull his shorts back up again.

'No, I didn't on this day,' he had replied.

Despite the incident occuring in Tasmania, a South Australian magistrate was brought in to oversee the case.

Magistrate Teresa Anderson handed down her decision via video-link in the Burnie Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

She said she was satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that Mr Fairbrother was guilty of exposing himself at the beach.

The magistrate also said Mr Fairbrother's account 'did not bear up to close scrutiny in cross-examination' and was told in a 'rehearsed manner'.

Mr Fairbrother repeatedly told the court he had not exposed his genitals to the family - yet the magistrate concluded he was not a 'credible witness'.

Magistrate Edwards said the defendant had not shown any remorse, and said an order restricting him from loitering on Boat Harbour beach should be considered.

'A young person was on the beach and saw it, and also it involved an exposed penis,' she said.

The court had earlier heard Mr Brown had approached Mr Fairbrother about the incident with his wife.

Magistrate Anderson adjourned the matter to sentence Mr Fairbrother in May.

British court rules UK government illegally moved elderly patients to care homes during start of COVID-19 pandemic

A UK court has ruled that the British government acted unlawfully early in the COVID-19 pandemic by moving elderly patients from hospitals to care homes, not considering that people without symptoms could spread the virus.

A judicial review instigated by the families of two care home residents who died of the virus looked at decisions taken in March and April 2020 by then-health secretary Matt Hancock.

The judges found that several of his policies on moving patients from hospitals to care homes had been introduced or retained unlawfully.

They noted that the government's chief scientific adviser, Patrick Vallance, had spoken in media interviews about the risks of asymptomatic transmission before the policies were published.

"The drafters of those documents failed to take into account the risk to elderly and vulnerable residents from non-symptomatic transmission," a summary of the judgement said.

A study conducted by the University of New Haven's Center for Forensic Investigations of Trafficking in Persons and the Anti-Human Trafficking Intelligence Initiative indicates that the structure of OnlyFans.com makes it difficult to pursue cases in instances of content that may depict rape or criminal assault.

A recent study of open-source information conducted by the Anti-Human Trafficking Intelligence Initiative (ATII) and former law enforcement officials with the University of New Haven’s Center for Forensic Investigations of Trafficking in Persons (CFITP) indicates that possible sex crimes, including those involving the sexual exploitation of minors and trafficked adults, are hosted on the social media site OnlyFans.com.

“In addition to potential child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and videos and images featuring possible victims of sex trafficking, disturbing content discovered on OnlyFans.com appears consistent with an understanding of law enforcement’s observations relating to violent sex acts, including images and videos that may depict rape and criminal assault,” said Matt Richardson of ATII. “OnlyFans.com facilitates crimes by providing sex predators and traffickers with the technological means to identify and recruit victims and exploit them,” he continued.

OnlyFans.com has transformed the pornography industry by instituting a subscription-based business model, which requires users to subscribe to individual creator accounts where most content is concealed behind a paywall. Although not inherently illegal, an unintended consequence of this model is that it affords sex predators, rapists, sex traffickers, and other criminal elements the technological means to profit from their crimes while remaining less visible to law enforcement.

“OnlyFans.com’s structure has made it more difficult for law enforcement to pursue cases leading to arrests on any significant scale without specialized investigator training designed to address the complexity of such cases involving content hidden behind a paywall,” said Tim Palmbach, executive director of CFITP. “To investigate and pursue these criminals at scale is extremely cumbersome for law enforcement, both in terms of direct financial commitment incurred by the paywall as well as the additional time required to investigate each paywall-enabled case of suspected criminal activity,” he continued.

Open-source material identified through ATII’s research in consultation with federal law enforcement was generated by simple methodologies, including common search engines (e.g. Google) and routine search techniques, showing that OnlyFans.com is more than just a passive hub for sexually explicit images and videos; rather, the platform is actively utilized by sex traffickers and other criminals to monetize what appear to be large scale, in-person criminal sexual encounters.

Police put 15 Northamptonshire paedophiles behind bars during first three months of 2022

Fifteen paedophiles were sentenced during the first three months of 2022 after being tracked down by Northamptonshire Police.

The force Paedophile Online Investigation Team (POLIT) also safeguarded 39 children while executing eight warrants and making 38 arrests between January and March, 2022.

The POLIT sits within the Public Protection Unit and works to brings people who view and distribute indecent images of children, or who groom, incite and facilitate sexual activity with children through use of the internet, to justice.

Convictions so far this year have included a 36-year-old man sentenced to six years and one month in prison for charges including two counts of attempting to incite a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity and seven counts of making indecent images of children.

Another 37-year-old man was jailed for eight years in connection with charges including making indecent images of children and paying for sexual services from a young girl.

And a 69-year-old man was sentenced to five years, seven months for three counts of arranging or facilitating a child sex offence.

Detective Inspector Matt Haworth, said: “Our team proactively seeks out offenders as well as having responsibility for reactive referrals and I hope these results demonstrate the commitment we have to safeguarding children in Northamptonshire.

“We often see drugs warrants publicised in the media but our team also conduct warrants following investigations into an individual’s online activities.

“These warrants lead to arrests, charges, convictions and — most importantly – children being safeguarded and protected from harm.

“Our mission is to protect children from online predators – whether that be convicting offenders for possessing indecent images of children or protecting a child who is being groomed online.

“We will continue working hard and hope to see similarly good results as the year progresses.”

Department of Homeland Security Sets Up ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ to Fight ‘Misinformation’

The Department of Homeland Security is setting up a Disinformation Governance Board in an attempt to combat “misinformation” online.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas spoke about the “just established” governance board during a congressional hearing on Wednesday, arguing it would help reduce domestic threats to the United States.

The team will focus on irregular migration and Russia, according to a report from Politico’s Daniel Lippman.

Nina Jankowicz, a fellow for the Wilson Center, confirmed reports that she would direct the board, sharing her official government portrait on her social media profile.

“Cat’s out of the bag: here’s what I’ve been up to the past two months,” she wrote.

She claimed the new board was created to “maintain the Department’s commitment to protecting free speech, privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties.”

Conservatives immediately called out Jankowicz’s role in downplaying information from Hunter Biden’s laptop in 2020, asserting it was likely “a Russian influence op.”

Durham Staffer Accidentally Makes Private Emails Public, Fusion GPS Coordination Discussions with Media, and Much More

Another significant filing by John Durham’s special counsel team to the court was made last night. {READ HERE} Within the filing the staff accidentally did not seal the attachments which are emails between Fusion GPS and many major media outlets. Whoops.

♦ First, the background. In a previous liable lawsuit by Alfa Bank against Fusion GPS, the Russian bank was able to get the internal emails between Fusion GPS and major media outlets as part of the lawsuit discovery phase. Despite the lawsuit failing to advance, those prior emails now become evidence for John Durham to use in the case against Clinton lawyer Michael Sussmann.

Michael Sussmann, a Perkins Coie lawyer, is accused of lying to the FBI about who he was working for when Sussmann was trying to push the Trump-Russia collusion story to trigger an investigation. Former FBI legal counsel James Baker has said Sussmann told the FBI he was operating independently as a concerned citizen. However, Sussmann is defending himself by saying: (a) he never said he was not working for Clinton at the time he brought the FBI the material, a demonstrable falsehood; and (b) he was motivated by altruism, unrelated to efforts to help Clinton, another demonstrable falsehood.

As the case has proceeded all of the parties are now claiming legal and work product ‘privileges’ to stop Durham from using their communication and networked conspiracy against Michael Sussmann, and by extension them, in court. Fusion GPS, Perkins Coie, Marc Elias, Michael Sussmann, Hillary for America (Clinton campaign), Robby Mook (Campaign Manager), along with Tech-Executive-1 Rodney Joffe, are all claiming some form of privilege.

In 2011, Claudio Aspesi, a senior investment analyst at Bernstein Research in London, made a bet that the dominant firm in one of the most lucrative industries in the world was headed for a crash. Reed-Elsevier, a multinational publishing giant with annual revenues exceeding £6bn, was an investor’s darling. It was one of the few publishers that had successfully managed the transition to the internet, and a recent company report was predicting yet another year of growth. Aspesi, though, had reason to believe that that prediction – along with those of every other major financial analyst – was wrong.

The core of Elsevier’s operation is in scientific journals, the weekly or monthly publications in which scientists share their results. Despite the narrow audience, scientific publishing is a remarkably big business. With total global revenues of more than £19bn, it weighs in somewhere between the recording and the film industries in size, but it is far more profitable. In 2010, Elsevier’s scientific publishing arm reported profits of £724m on just over £2bn in revenue. It was a 36% margin – higher than Apple, Google, or Amazon posted that year.

But Elsevier’s business model seemed a truly puzzling thing. In order to make money, a traditional publisher – say, a magazine – first has to cover a multitude of costs: it pays writers for the articles; it employs editors to commission, shape and check the articles; and it pays to distribute the finished product to subscribers and retailers. All of this is expensive, and successful magazines typically make profits of around 12-15%.

The way to make money from a scientific article looks very similar, except that scientific publishers manage to duck most of the actual costs. Scientists create work under their own direction – funded largely by governments – and give it to publishers for free; the publisher pays scientific editors who judge whether the work is worth publishing and check its grammar, but the bulk of the editorial burden – checking the scientific validity and evaluating the experiments, a process known as peer review – is done by working scientists on a volunteer basis. The publishers then sell the product back to government-funded institutional and university libraries, to be read by scientists – who, in a collective sense, created the product in the first place.

It is as if the New Yorker or the Economist demanded that journalists write and edit each other’s work for free, and asked the government to foot the bill. Outside observers tend to fall into a sort of stunned disbelief when describing this setup. A 2004 parliamentary science and technology committee report on the industry drily observed that “in a traditional market suppliers are paid for the goods they provide”. A 2005 Deutsche Bank report referred to it as a “bizarre” “triple-pay” system, in which “the state funds most research, pays the salaries of most of those checking the quality of research, and then buys most of the published product”.
